leather sleeves

when i went on my Zara crazed shopping spree while in Barcelona i picked up one effing ahhhmazing jacket. this lovely cargo and leather jacket with gold hardware is my absolute Fall favorite. i will be wearing it with every and i mean everything in my wardrobe. including my Fall uniform which consist of a pencil skirt, a jacket and bootie. no need to be on the lookout for me wearing anything but a variation of that above uniform lol. hey when you find something that works...ride it until the wheels fall off.

i love the color of this skirt. its sooooo fantastic for fall and works almost as a neutral. the jacket...i can't get over it. leather and cargo the perfect balance of tough yet sexy.
a red lip goes a long way too even with a deeper toned skirt.

what do you think of the color combination?

white leather skirt

there is one thing i've always always always wanted in my wardrobe that i never ever quite found...until now. that is a white leather pencil skirt. i didn't think they existed except on very expensive websites for over $500.
but one weekend not far ago while perusing the racks at Brooklyn Flea Market...
there it was.
it was perfect...supple leather, no stains, perfect length, split in the back with side panels
with a snake print feel.
and the kicker....she had pockets!

i am so inlove with this skirt. i have so many ways to wear it brewing in my head.
for this outfit i went simple, clean and classic.
kinda with an Alexander Wang spin.
i paired the skirt with a long see through (in the light) black top from H&M and red Zara booties.
i really love the outcome...understated. and whats even more awesome is this skirt clocked in at exactly $50. it thats not a fashion STEELE i dont know what the hell is!

Fall Favorites: booties

booties are the perfect shoe for Fall. i like that they show a little bit of ankle yet are still durable for cooler weather and keeping your feet warm.
i recently picked up two great pair from Zara and a pair of Via Spiga's from last year.
i will be rocking these until the snow hits.

every girl needs a black pair of booties. these from Zara are so fun. the shape is very flattering for those with big feet like me. i also love the double zippers and gold hardware. the red booties have become my absolute favorite. everywhere i go i get compliments on them and i think its the boldness and pop of the true red color that draws the eye. these via spiga's were bought last year from Nordstroms Rack and the toe tip and color is what sold me on these. they are also cut on a bias and fall below the ankle bone with is kinda hot. when you can't show too much skin because of cooler weather...guys will go crazy for an ankle lol.

what is your go to Fall shoe?

show stopping shoes

my gianvito rossi fury sandals were absolute showstoppers at NYFW! im so thankful for the amazing sale at Century 21 when i got them. people are always asking how i find such great deals and its because i love a good deal and the hunt of finding a bargain. you have to really be able to sift through things and have the patience for it. especially when thrift and vintage shopping. i also do comparison shopping and take advantage of membership cards like those at Loehmanns, my favorite store for designer deals. H&M also emails 20% off coupons every now and again. if you want a good deal...be an INSIDER!

these are indeed my favorite pair of sunglasses for Fall. i love the rich bold color.
it just brings everything together and makes it pop! i will also be wearing these shoes for as long as i possibly can before there is snow on the ground. i am actually welcoming the cooler weather. summer was kinda brutal. so back to finding great deals....my favorite department stores for designer duds are Loehmanns, Century 21 and Nordstroms rack. They are my BIG 3 boyfriends when i need a certain something special or just want to treat myself. i never and i mean never pay full price for designer pieces. why should i when awesome places like Loehmanns practically give the stuff away!

a day in williamsburg

my friend Sheena and I decided to meet up this past sunday and make a day of it in williamsburg brooklyn. i do love the whole hometown feel of williamsburg even with all the Ray Ban wearing hipsters. its so beautiful around the water and everywhere you turn there are quaint thrift shops and mom and pop restuarants. i can't afford to live there though. i've noticed that it has come up so quickly and more and more beautiful buildings are sprouting up that i cant afford. it seems to be happening in Harlem as well. im beginning to worry that eventually the rent will be too damn high and i will have to move out of manhattan. le sigh. but for now...i just enjoy visiting..eating...and thrifting it up.
