I was invited to a Getting Gorgeous with Degree Event this past Saturday.
It was a bloggers chance to get to talk with some of the hottest brands for every part of a womans life.
This awesome event was sponserd by
Degree, Tide to Go, Hanes, Simply Orange Juice, FlipOut Sandals, Sarah Potempa, Dream Water, Goody Hair, Miraclrbody, Shopafrolic, BJ's Wholesale, Amy Tara Koch, Lifetime Moms, Weight Watchers,
Hair Room Service and Sandals Resort.
Each of these brands had a stations and it was fun to go around to each station and it what was new.
I got to learn all about some great new products, network, get some awesome goodie bags and also meetup with a few of the fashion mavens of the NYC Fashion Bloggers Meetup Group.
These two were the driving force behind this event. Vera Sweeney invited me and I'm so glad she did!
There was an awesome contest to guess the celebrity based on the hairstyle to win a gift bag! I won....that's Diana Ross!
There were even booths to get your hair professionally done!!! How amazing is that???
There was an awesome booth for Isabella Oliver Clothing. There was an amazing black sequin jacket that I drooled over while chatting it up with Amy Tara Koch. She has amazing style and even has a book but more importantly she keeps it real. She had an impromtu fashion 101 session with one of the invites as she walked by. I loved it!
Come on, cupcakes and jewelry the perfect combinaton.
Women got to relax while Amy helped style them.
A few of the ladies from the NYC Fashion Bloggers Meetup Group.
Ellie was there as well.
They gave out amazing jeweled sandals too unfortunately because I have huge feet (size 9.5) they ran out of my size...ahhh shucks! Thankfully I got a coupon! Yay.

I had an overall 5 star time at this event and got tons of cool gift bags as well. I'm glad that brands are willing to have events like this to reach out to bloggers and the everyday woman. A lot of the event focused on mothers as well.
I made my way over to Loehmanns after this event and couldn't help buying a few items..remember my last trip there?!!! I did a little damage but it was worth it! After shopping I stopped at Cafeteria for some Mac and Cheese spring rolls. Hey...all that shopping had my stomach on "E". Haha...stay tuned for my buys.

So what are some of the brands you can't live without, not just for fashion but everyday life?
I'm a big fan of Hanes and their mens white beaters! They make the perfect tank tops in the summer!
I also love Simply Rasberry Lemonade...and drink it religiously. My go-to lotion is Aveeno! I don't know what's in it but it keeps my skin free from ash! haha

I love a smooth writing pen and RSVP just always does the trick for me. Sometimes I settle for a BIC click roller, but the Medium RSVP just does it every time!
ReplyDeleteI also love the smell of degree power deodorant!! And cocoa butter with a rich aroma...Wal-mart has this brand that is super name-less but, boy does it have a I wanna-eat-you-now kinda smell, and I don't like chocolate!!

One of the main brands I use is Dove Deoderant. Keeps me dry, fresh and keeps the underarm skin smooth. I also am a fan of Cetaphil as I have really sensitive skin and Aveeno and Pantene. Geesh, I can go on and on...
