NEW YORK CITY SUNDAYS

New York City Sundays
I usually spend my Sundays catching up on cleaning, eating, reading, watching and of course googling. Here's what's going on in my world today.

Apartment Décor
I'm hell bent on re-organizing my office/second closet. My rolling rack is once again starting to lean precariously to the left and looks as if it will collapse any moment. So I have my eye on a sturdier rack....either this one or this one. I'm also thinking of adding some cubbies like this one or this one for my beloved shoes (which I keep in their boxes).

Internet Surfing
Apparently Kimye just gave birth to a bouncing baby girl yesterday. Congrats! But what I found really hilarious was the Kanye West NYT Interview. If you haven't read it...and need a good hearty laugh. Here is it for your viewing pleasure.
Refinery29 also did an awesome write up on the Hot 30 Under 30 in NYC. Interesting read.

Travel
So I am going to Paris in September for two weeks and I need a good suitcase. I've also been stalking bloggers based in Paris like Carin Olsson and pouring over all of Garance Dore Paris Fashion Week Videos on YouTube so I can get a feel of how it will be and also make some blogger friends while in the City of Lights. I've also been super stalking airbnb for perfect Parisian accommodations.

Food
I tried a new chicken soup recipe. Which basically means I made it up. I took and cleaned 6 chicken drumsticks, boiled them in enough water to immerse them in a huge pot. Added chopped carrots, chopped celery, chopped onions, 2 bay leaves, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and cummin. I let it boil for 15 minutes then put it on low for about an hour. Then I added 2 white corn husk (broken into 4 smaller pieces) and 1 cup of rice. I let than go to town for 15 minutes. Then Voila. I ate it. It was delish. I have enough to last all week too. All of the ingredients can be added to your preference.

Happy Sunday

  1. Hey, just wanted to let you know of a place that I use to buy my racks. They sell supplies for retail but also sell to the public. I have bought several different racks from them including the collapsible rolling rack and the four way racks. They are very sturdy just like what you find in the stores. And as you will see, the prices are unbeatable! Take a look at their website: www.bardisplay.com. Hope this helps you!
