tis sweater season

its inevitable. the air gets crisp. the wind blows and chills your bones. tis sweater season and i accept it. its like death or taxes...eventually one must wear a sweater if they live in a city such as New York. i hate sweaters. they are itchy and confining just like skinny jeans. you have to calculate the thickness of sweaters to match certain jackets and sometimes the thickness completely eliminates the chances of wearing certain jackets. *head explodes* atleast its still warm enough to just wear a sweater without a jacket...atleast for the next week or so.

this is one of my favorite bags from Zara. I love the studs and how deep it is. perfect for my DSLR and a light jacket if need be. sometimes things get lost in it though. i almost died when i couldn't find my old faithful Stila Fiery Lipstain one day and discovered it deep in the depths of this bag. i also get a lot of questions about these booties. they are still available here on Zara.com. They are also pretty comfortable as well. H&M also has an array of these sweaters in different colors for $25!

there's no place like home

you all know the color red isn't really my kind of color. but every since getting and wearing

 this fabulous red dress by Synderela i have secretly been craving all things red. i think this is the start of a beautiful relationship between that naughty color and I. fast forward to two weeks ago, i'm perusing my local Zara when #KABOOM i see these fire red suede booties.

i couldn't contain my enthusiasm and straight out busted into the running man and probably scared off a few patrons. of course they didn't have my size (my gargantuan feet ruin my life) but luckily they did online. ahhh the mystical powers of the internet have once again come to the rescue.

but really there is no place like home and home to me is North Carolina as well as my current residence in Harlem. I will be needing a much needed rest and relaxation trip back to NC after the madness that is New York Fashion Week takes place. No matter how old i get my mom will still make me breakfast (cheese toast my fav) and want to take me shopping.

i'm not really a cape person but when I saw this Eileen Fisher cape at Saks I knew it would

be perfect for Fall and Winter.

This cape is one of my buys that I got when I won the Stylelist and Saks competition.

this cape is super soft and warm and the hood is an added bonus.

I like how the cape is long enough it can almost be worn like a dress so wearing the cutoff shorts underneath was my first thought. I told yall I wouldn't be putting away

 my cutoff shorts for Fall..lol

The weather has been really nice these past few days in NYC but I am HATING how HOT it is in my apartment. It's atleast 80 degrees thanks to the radiators killing me. I currently have all of my windows open and a fan blowing on me. Prime "GET YOU SICK" type of weather.
