I love to read and have a whole slew of interesting books and magazines. I also wanted to show my closet and how I keep all my things organized. I guess you could call me a type A person. I am for the most part very neat and organized. Some times I don't wash the dishes for a week though lol
Currently the caged black nine west gladiators are my favorite and my nude BCBG pumps...mainly because I can wear them with anything and they make the outfit.
I organize my closet with shirts, to shorts, to skirts to ankle skirts to maxi skirts, to pants to dresses.
I know..im a little OCD.
I have one door hanger hook and usually place newer items on it or an outfit I know I want to wear later in the week. Sometimes I hang things there that I havent worn in a while to remind myself to find a new way to wear it.
I hang all my necklaces around the neck of my vintage dress form. I got it on craigslist fot $20. I had to go about an hour by train to Brooklyn to get it but it was worth it. It also weights about 30 pounds.
I like having my necklaces all visible so once I put together an outfit I don't have to look everywhere.I keep my rings organized with this wheel from Marshalls. I also keep my nail polishes organized the same way with a wheel of 3 round trays that I also got from Marshalls. I also own season 4-6 of Sex and the City and it's perfect for a night in or a day off work or whenever I need a fashion fix!
I keep all the awesome bags I get from events such as the silver bag from Fashion Night at the W Hotel and the Marie Claire bag from Mango & Marie Caire Night of Style.
These are some of my favorite reads. I love anything about Egyptian culture and history. The Ancient Egyptians had amazing fashion!
I also love all the fashion books such as The Ellements of Personal Style which I won in a Blog giveaway!
I Lucifer, is actually a pretty funny short fiction novel about Lucifer's "side of the story" of his fall from Heaven. It had me laughing and it's one of the funniest books I've ever read.
The Book of Night Women is an awesome read about early slavery in Jamaica.
Pablo Neruda is my favorite poet.
I have a lot of these fake flowers around my apartment. I love the look of them. I also can't kill them.
I keep a diary. I try to write in it atleast 2x a week. I've already filled this one and have started on the next. I like that I can go back and remember exactly how I felt about something or someone. I even wrote about when I posted my first blog post. I was so nervous lol.
I have a love for black and white photos.
This is my favorite magazine. No this one here...my absolute favorite. I have had this magazine since it came out in November 2006. I can't bring myself to throw it away. Whenever I need inspiration I just read it again. I've read it maybe 200 times lol. Plus my fashion icon is on the cover! Yall know my love for Tracee.
My new plant (my old plant died) along with my new fedora that I picked up at my Shop & Swap. Hopefully this plant will last longer.

I love my apartment. It's in a mini version of the flatiron building in Manahattan. When I first moved to Harlem I scoped this building for 2 years. It stood there empty, for what I was told, 10 years.
I wondered when they'd open it and one day I was walking by when I saw a sign on the building for a broker and painters walking in and out. I couldn't resist.
I popped inside and walked around every apartment in the building. I eventually moved into the building and was it's first tenant!
What sold me was this huge bay window with 3 windows. Great for people watching.

I've spent a lot of time making it just perfect for me and I love it.
That's probably why I enjoy just staying at home so much.
