Style Fusion Runway Show by STYLETA

This past Sunday I attended A benefit fashion show by Styleta for charity:water. Styleta is a student-run nonprofit organization that uses fashion to nurture the community. Their mission is to generate sustainable funding through re-selling designer clothing-collected through sponsorships and donations- and then giving all proceeds to charity organizations.
Charity:water is a non-profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations.
All of the clothing worn in the show was donated by various brands, designers and stores such as Beacon's Closet and Rehna Pendse. Jewelry designer Guenevere Rodriguez was there with her gorgeous necklaces on display and for purchase.

I attended this event with a few members of the
All of the clothes in the runway show were later up for sale along with some other pieces.
I scored a dress (tulle of course my new obsession since watching old episodes of Sex and the City) and a nice bell skirt as well for $50 total..fashion STEELE!!!!

There were also some delicious snacks and goodie bags!
Outfit
Top: American Apparel Body suit, see it worn differently HERE!
Skirt: H&M (just got it and love love love it!)
Jacket: Target..yeah i know right...see it HERE with my other Target finds
Shoes: Nine West
Bag: Forever 21
Necklace: Swapped at my Shop & Swap Event

There was also a bested dressed contest for a DKNY watch and guess who won...ME!

I love the whole concept of STYLETA since you all know how much I love thrifting.
My Thrift and the City shopping tours was born out of my love for thrifting and finding hidden gems among donated goods to places like Buffalo Exchange, Goodwill and Housing Works Thrift Shops.

It's funny how I've been dying for a tulle skirt and end up finding the perfect 2 in the same week. I have literally been on ebay and etsy everyday searching. I love it when this happens.

What are your fashion obsessions right now?

Don't forget to vote for my Chanel Lipshine video everyday

  13. Just discovered you through Tinfoils Tiaras, and am now following! Love the play on words in your blog name. The frothy white of your skirt paired with an edgy necklace works really well.
