yes its super annoying that as i stroll through popular stores they are already putting up
Christmas decorations and already have Mariah Carey's Christmas album in HEAVY rotation.
Don't get me wrong I love the holidays but DAMN
give us a minute...it's not even Thanksgiving yet!
With all that said with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up there are bound to be parties to attend whether it be a Thanksgiving celebration with the family, the company Christmas party, or New Years Eve.
Here are a few tips on holiday attire.
On Thanksgiving you want to look polished but be comfortable especially if you are meeting the In Laws or the boyfriends family. You also want a built-in elastic waist or something without a waist at all. You will be eating so jeans are OUT!
There should be nothing tightly sucking you in. Also if you are anything like me you make many visits to many different homes to eat copious amounts of food.
Keep in mind if someone is cooking their house is probably going to be pretty hot so I NEVER wear chucky clothing or sweaters on Thanksgiving.
The company holiday or office party can be daunting. There are probably some people you hate, some people you like and someone that you want to make sure they know how great you look "outside" of your work attire
(whether that be a hot guy or that b**** thats always in your business).
Then you have to act accordingly around your boss while socially consuming alchohol.
Here's a tip...less is definitely more.
Go ahead and put on your tallest skinniest heel, there is rarely dancing at the office holiday party.
At Christmas you definitely want to be comfortable but have an air of wonder and embellishment in your outfit. During Christmas there is often a meal (so the same tips for Thanksgiving) and you will need a huge purse to hold all those gifts! A wedge is great because you will be running round all day giving and receiving gifts.
New Years can go a lot of different ways. Some are Black Tie, some are business casual, some are come however the hell you please. It really just depends. But when it comes to shoes...
CHOOSE COMFORT!
a thick wedge, thick heel or boot will save you from being THAT GIRL who walks around barefoot at the end of the night. so gross.
Voila!
Your holiday outfits served in a fresh blog post.
