my presence is a gift

I'm super happy that the holidays are over. I do love the holiday season but it can wear you down. All the shopping, all the very crowded stores and Christmas music. It can all be very overwhelming.

I didn't buy too many gifts this year because I was kinda broke after spending a million dollars on my plane ticket home. My family didn't care though..my presence was gift enough ;-)

I thought this dress would be fitting for the season and the title of the post lol. I love the details on the vintage Bob Mackie dress. It's also very very warm! This is one of those dresses you can really only wear during the holiday season. I actually got to attend a great Bob Mackie Event last summer with the NYC Fashion Bloggers Meetup Group. I paired this dress with my Rebecaa Minkoff bag that I won during this post.

Its hard to believe the photos were taken just last week when the sun was shining and it wasn't 14 degrees outside...O_o

a little sexy ankle ehhh

burgundy is def my new favorite Fall color. it's just so rich and sexy. I was on the hunt for a pair of burgundy booties and came across the perfect pair at Nordstroms Rack.

what I love most about them is the funky angle they hit my ankle at...quite sexy.

Yes...I am smitten with these booties. See them up close and personal along with another pair of my fave booties here. This is one of my favorite light knit sweater tops so be prepared to see A LOT more of it throughout the Fall.

Really I almost just thought: "hey... I wonder if I can get away just walking around in my bra?"...but no my mom would call me immediately when she saw that kind of post and I'd never hear the end of it. So I threw this top on...not that it covered too much of anything either. haha. I took these photos during the extreme NYC heatwave that has seemed to pass. It was just too hot to wear clothes at all. I do however love my deep tan!
Being that I'm originally from North Carolina I'm used to this hot weather..what I'm not used to is not having central air in my apartment. This little window AC doesn't even compare to central air.
One of the things I miss about living down south!
