denim and leopard

im getting really into denim. its so easy and matching is practically nonexistent. denim goes with just about everything...including denim. I picked these shorts up recently from Urban Outfitters. I like how they are almost "boyfriend" type shorts.

and she was called yellow

i almost threw these Mango beauties out or donate them but all of a sudden I had an urge to wear them. that tends to happen a lot. I pull items out of a bag of clothes I'm sure I want to donate on a weekly basis.
chalk it up to my indecisiveness or just really wanting to prolong the life of a piece in my wardrobe. i feel as soon as I give it away or sell it...I find the perfect occasion to wear it! does anyone else have this fashion conundrum?

Shoes: BCBGeneration (Old) get similar here and here | Sunnies: D&G | Bag: BCBGeneration
Ring: Mango

it was the same conundrum with these shoes. just when i thought I'd give them up...I all of a sudden was loving the snake print and pointy toe again. i cannot become a clothes hoarder though! i'm really trying to stick to selling or donating pieces i havent worn in a year or so...with exception of extra special peices like this dress I wore for new years. see this outfit in video on my

how do you deal with getting rid of old clothing?

a match made in heaven

these pants from American Apparel are one of my favorites. I love that they are linen
too but can still be worn year around. I wore them recenty at New York Fashion Week.
I've been seeing tons of new color matches such as
 red and orange pairings,
and yellow and green pairings.
This is my spin on things. Basically you just choose two strong colors that are in the same color zone
and presto...you have yourself the NEW color block.

Pants: American Apparel | Top: Old Navy | Blazer: Necessary Objects
Sunnies: D&G | Shoes: Charles Jourdan
i am very much in love with this $8 top i got at Old Navy! a real fashion STEELE if i must say so myself. it is the perfect NEW IN color of the season and I'm crazy for it.
If only i could find pants in this color! I paired it with my very comfortable Charles Jourdan pumps that I went all over Manhattan searching for a few months ago.
what do you think of this NEW color blocking trend with two like colors?

there they were Green and Furry

so there i was..perusing the designer racks at Loehmanns. There was a huge sale going on and I was hoping to score some serious designers for less. Well the $600 Valentino dress in dusted gold
was 50% off but that was out of my price range. I do still need to buy the essentials in life such as groceries.
I was just about to call it a loss when I saw something. Something green and furry.
To my surprise it was a pair of Missoni Shorts with green inside furry lining.
You will NEVER guess I much I got them for either!

Top: Vintage from Finderz Keeperz Boutique | Pleated Cotton Shorts: Missoni via Loehmanns
Boots: Pelle Moda via Loehmanns | Sunnies: Dolce & Gabbana via Loehmanns
Blue Ring: Top Shop
These shorts clocked in at $38!
This has to be the best fashion STEELE so far!
They were marked down and then marked down again and then 50% off.
I scurried so quickly to the dressing room that I think I knocked an old lady over.
They fit.
They are mine.
always and forever....
Missoni Shorts.
I know I'm always getting on my Loehmanns soap box but lets be real here...they are kicking these
chain stores a$$es. They are always the first place I look for amazing deals.
