NYFW Spring 2013 Day 5

Today's outfit was basically my fashion power suit: pencil skirt, blazer, heels. but this aint your average suit so I threw in some floral prints and fur for good measure.

Skirt: Patrizia Pepe via Loehmanns | Top: H&M | Blazer: Workshop Andrea Jovine
Shoes: Gianvito Rossi | Bag: Zara
wow today was insanely busy. my feet are KILLING ME and they are swollen on the bottom. i love love love fashion week but it is brutal. i was literally running from show to show being that I had one just about every hour. i am super amped that i was snapped by Guerre for Marie Claire online. Guerre is one of my favorite photogs and he is SEXY! my god thats a handsome well dressed man. but i digress. lets get to the goods. Shout out to Jen of Comme Coco for these amaze photos.
Today's Schedule
Joy Cioci
Carlos Miele
Farah Angsana
Karen Walker
Alice & Olivia
Libertine

Joy Cioci was one of my favorite collections. I love the whole beachy vibe, sounds of the ocean, prints and d styling of the models...down to the awesome extra sharp finger nails. The head wraps are pretty hawt too. Check out the VIDEO of the full collection HERE.

Carlos Miele did was he does best and thats creative free flowing gorgeous dresses. He used a  lot of cheetah print on bright pops of color as well as fringe. My favorite dress was actually a white sparkly number with fringe around the bottom!

Farah Angsana....dresses are her thing. There is definitely something for everyone in her collection. My favorites were the beaded dresses in orange, black and green. I see a lot of designers are going orange for the SS2013 season.

Karen Walker went polka dots, with lovely skirts and bangy hair and hats. I loved all of the looks even the polka dots! The collection was fun yet sophisticated. I loved the trapeze shaped tops and the neon pink slear sunnies too. Hands down one of my favorite shows.

I am a huge fan of Alice + Olivia so getting to attend this presentation was awesome. i loved the prints and shapes and the retro feel the collection gives off. very old school glam with headbands and gloves. Check out the full video of the presentation HERE.

Libertine was a fun festive collection. It's all looked pretty mixed vintage to me as far as the womens clothing went. I do like some elements and could certainly see some people wearing the pieces together like they were styled. personally I think they'd be more of a wow factor split up with simplier pieces so that they pop.

Fashion Week Day 3

Ummm so this post is 3 days late and that's because my crazy 2 month old Toshiba computer gave me
the blue screen of death!
The most important week ever and my comp crashes! Toshiba's are nothing less than pieces of
(insert every curse word known to man in every language here)!
But I digress. Fashion Week so far has been extraordinary. So over the next 3 posts that I will shove down your throat in a quick paced posts order..I hope you enjoy!
WARNING PHOTO HEAVY WITH LOTS OF CELEBS!
On day 3 I wore this and was featured on Refinery 29 for Shoe Stalker!
Show Schedule
Son Jung Wan
ADAM
Farah Angsana
Honor

SON JUNG WAN
This collection was very chic and modern. If I had to sum it up it would be whites and metallics. A lot of whites, off whites and metallics were used throughtout the collection. This collection was very grown up with a playful element via the metallic or fun layers and ruchings. This gold romper was the closer and I took atleast 50 photos just to get this amazing 1! hehe.
Check out my NYFW Coverage Link for a quick Video of the closing of Son Jung Wan.

ADAM

Adam Lippes kicked ass with his Spring 2012 collection. What I love about it is that its so well rounded. There is something for everyone and every occasion. Love his use of florals with darker blues. The beaded dress was a favorite and this lovely lace dress is perfect for a first date in the summer time.
Check out my NYFW Coverage Link or Youtube Channel for a short Vid of the ADAM.

Farah Angsana
I mean there are no words. Ms. Angsana can make the hell out of a dress whether it be a cocktail dress, evening wear or a wedding dress...she can whip it up and serve it steaming hot. Another great well rounded collection. Something from a teen prom all the way up to a 60th birthday celebration, this collection speaks to women of all ages who want to look good during a very special occasion. See more at Farah Angsana.

HONOR
Giovanna Randall, may i come live in your pile of fabrics please????
BLOWN AWAY!
Absolute Girliest of All Girls Collection. Full of lace tiny silk and zippered shoulders detailing leading to a boat neck dress. I DIE! The full skirts. Ugh. This was definitely my favorite collection of the day and did you peep those collar necklaces (i need one like now!).
Check out the Vid on my Youtube Channel and see more of HONOR HERE.
