yeah i joined the INSTAGRAM movement

i didn't really understand all the hype...of instagram until it finally came out for android.

now my world has been rocked because I freakin live on Instagram.

It's totally taken over my twitter obsession too.

Here's a peek into my life is cool vintage looking photos.

This has pretty much been the past 2 weeks. Admiring shoes, hanging out in Central Park, street fairs, reworking my inspiration board, and eating. My favorite meal right now is the Chicken Pesto Salad at Republic in Union Square. It is flavorful, healthy, refreshing and just freaking DELISH! Running to GW Bridge, new products in my arsenal, memorial day, my fav dress and waiting for the bus....lol. Wanna see more of my life in awesome vintage looking phone photos???

walk on the tribe side

i've been on a print, tribal, african kick lately. I think this obsession began when I followed Solange on Instagram. Her style is fly and I love that she is so grounded. Anywho...I received this awesome top from Eileen Fisher and instantly knew what to pair it with for the tribal and print feel I was going for.

there are my favorite shoes at the moment again. i love the overall tribal feel of this outfit. I am definitely on the hunt for more african prints and tribal inspired accessories and shoes. i am also inlove with these sunglasses. you can find a similar pair here. i already know this Eileen Fisher Top will be one of my summer staples. It's light, airy and will work with just about everthing in my wardrobe: summer skirts, denim shorts, linen pants. after checking out the beach and the some of the sights such as Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell I did more shopping and went to the Picasso Museum which was amazing. Let me tell you...the Zara in Spain is SICK. I was lucky enough to be at a hotel on the same street, the lovely Silken Gran Havana Hotel. It is one of the hugest Zara's I have ever seen. The best thing was the insanity of the pricing compared to the US. OMG..so yall know I'm a shopping fanatic so I definitely looked up the prices of everything I wanted in US dollars and Euros. Spains prices were about $20-50 lower even with the dollar to euro conversion!

So when I did my conversions (thanks converter app on my phone) I knew just how much I was saving.

I also did some cool thrift and vintage shopping in the El Born neighborhood of Barcelona which had the tiniest streets filled with boutique shops.

All in all a smashing good time was had by me and my friend. I also celebrated my birthday while there...hence the rasberry, strawberry, fudge cake thingy in a martini glass.
it was de-effing-licious.
one year older...and super inspired by my vacation.
i quickly came home and put together the most amazing outfits high off my Barcelona infusion.
the quirky thrift shop Le Swing Vintage was a jewel. I picked up the best sunglasses ever there!
i also spent a lot of money in Zara...enough that I may never shop there again this year.
