suede shorts and a zipper top ...GENIUS!

I'd been wondering what to pair these suede Top Shop shorts with and when I got this amazing zippered top from the lovely ladies at P. Luca 4 Barami an instant outfit was born.

Outfit
Top: P. Luca 4 Barami Gifted
Shorts: Top Shop fashion steele at $30 get a similar pair here
Bag: Vintage thrifted from Brooklyn Flea Market
Necklace: Mango see it worn differently here
Ring: Urban Outfitters
Shoes: Steven Madden Mercy

I got these shorts during that awesome summer sale at Top Shop a few months ago. Check out some of my fav other shorts here and here. I finally got my massive eyebrows waxed as well. It's amazing how much shaped brows can change your face!
This top is awesome because depending on how sexy or conservative I want to be I can zip it down the shoulders more or right up to my neck lol.

notice my lovely haircut that I got at Arrojo Salon is starting to grow out. I'm wondering if I should let it grow all the way out or recut it.
what do you all think?

Oh..and shout out to all the new readers. I appreciate all the comments and that you take time to read my blog!

Celebration at Arrojo/ Fashion Week Giveaway

So remember back when I got my haircut at Arrojo and my makeup done? If not check out this post HERE!
Well it was for a special series of photographs of influencial New Yorkers. I was featured along with a handful of other NYC area bloggers and social media experts!
I had a mini photoshoot with an amazing photographer David Ducane.
The photos were released last night at the 10th Anniversary Party at Arrojo Salon.

This was the final picture that was chosen for the wall. I was so excited to finally see it!

Here are a few extras. It started to rain while we were shooting. lol. It never fails that when I get my hair done..it rains lol.

The party was amazing. I had a really great time mingling and dancing. The DJ was FIRE! At some point Nick Arrojo (best known for doing hair on the show What Not To Wear) was backing that "thing" up on me (While the song Back that thing us was playing!). I didn't know he was such a great dancer!

And ofcourse I won something. A body gift set from Arrojo. I swear I can win just about anything except the lottery!
I feel very honored to have been one of the people chosen to be featured and in honor of this as well as my favorite holiday FASHION WEEK, I am doing a giveaway of an amazing bracelet exactly like the one I'm wearing in my Arrojo photo. This bracelet was made by J. Rudy Lewis who just opened up his online store HERE. See more photos of this bracelet in action HERE!

A few days ago I attended the Rebecca Minkoff Fall Presentation sponsored by Mintbox.com and had a BLAST! She makes the most lovely bags that are the perfect mix of naughty and nice. It was fun to check out the Fall Collection and also catch up with some of NYC's bloggers.

Fashionable Fridays/Giveaway

This past Friday I attended Fashionable Fridays Event at Arrojo Salon.
This event was put together by Women's Mafia as well as the NYC Fashion Bloggers Meetup Group.
It was an event to remember with Arrojo Hair and Makeup Stations, an eyelash station, a presentation by Jewelry Designer J. Rudy Lewis, a reading from Lora Condon of her book Spa Wars and not to mention every bloggers dream....a POP-UP Studio for photos!

I was able to get my eyelashes done by The Lash Doctor Lora Condon who also wrote the book Spa Wars The Ugly Truth about The Beauty Industry. I must say I am in love with my lashes. They look so natural.
I was immediately drawn to J. Rudy Lewis Jewelry. Mr. Lewis handmakes his pieces using metals and leathers and even pearls. The mixture of these raw elements create a beautiful eyecatching work of art. I was lucky enough to take one home with me which I immediately fell in love with.

Lora Cordon signing copies of Spa Wars for us after her very funny reading! If you want the insid scoop on what really goes down in the beauty industry you have to get yourself a copy!

It was such an honor to get to meet Nick Arrojo. He was super sweet. I also got my hair trimmed by Nicks's apprentice Emily Carroll.
The POP-UP Studio was too much fun! We all had a blast taking photos.
Gift Bag Galore

So awesome I got to take home a signed copy of Spa Wars, my amazing J. Rudy Lewis bracelet, my ASTONISH Magazine and all these awesome ARROJO products I can't wait to use!
