wedge sneakers...i love you

i am even happier about my Steve Madden Hilight Wedge Sneakers now that i've worn them approximately 142 times since i bought them last week. probably because they are simply the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. even more so than my ballet flats.

they craddle my feet like new born babies. i feel as though clouds are cushioning my every step.

for those days when im just not feeling like a heel, i will be wearing these.

what better way to wear these than with boyfriend jeans and a bodysuit. the bodysuits added a little more femininity to outfit. a little back never hurt anyone.

i really wanted to wait to jump on this trend because trends come and go. but i actually think this one of the sneaker wedge will stick around for awhile. especially for all the non heel wearing fashionista's out there. *wink wink* i know you all exist out there. these will also be the perfect for running inbetween fashion shows during #NYFW!

60's in December

I just want to give a huge shout out to Mother Nature and her foe Global Warming for providing us New Yorkers with 60 degree weather day today! I mean Christmas is in 2 weeks and it feels ahhhhhhmazing outside.

Yes had to bust out my favorite skirt in the whole wide world that I got at the

 Mango and Marie Claire Night of Style Event earlier this year. I've worn it a lot but it never gets old! Check out me wearing it differently here during a video that shows how I do outfit post and here at a blogger event.

I also got to wear these boots I got from Sole Society! Remeber back when I won free shoes for a year at the Blogger Night Out???? Yes I've been racking up on a bunch of shoes!

 I need to stop shopping for myself and start shopping for everyone else!

I havent done any Christmas shopping yet...YIKES!

velvet: the best material on earth

yes i have a thing for shiny, furry feeling material.

Velvet is my favorite of them all.

even though this velvet body suit from H&M is more for warmer weather with the heat wave earlier this week in NYC and my fav vintage cardigan..I made it work. lol

Even though it's colder I just can't bring myself to cover up EVERY piece of skin.

 I read once that Anna Wintour requires her interviewees to NEVER WEAR pantyhose even in the dead of winter with a skirt or dress. It kind of reminded me of the Sex and the City movie when the girls go to fashion week and even though there is snow and ice on the ground Carrie has on a skirt with no stockings but cute little booties with socks.

I dont mind showing a little calf or ankle...as long as the rest of me is covered up.

what do you all think about the stocking no stocking debate in the winter?

Ummmmm WTH is up with this crazy weather. These photos were taken last week when NYC was still hitting 70s then all of a sudden IT SNOWS. and not just a little bit of Snow...
IT SNOWED LIKE IT WAS JANUARY.
OMG.
I am now wearing sweats, Uggs, a beanie and a NorthFace.
I CANNOT believe it. Hopefully I won the powerball last night so I can only live in NYC during Spring and Summer and jet off to Mexico in the winters.
We can all dream right?

i love the mixture of colors in this outfit. I think purple and skyblue is an awesome color combination.

this is one of my favorite leather jackets that I got at Nordstrom's Rack this past summer on sale.

I wore this outfit a few weeks ago to church one Sunday. I got so many compliments on it. I really just kinda threw it together (minus the necklace because I just got that on the Thrift and the City Shopping Tour.

Really all the compliments had me blushing just like these H&M harem pants.

Well as much as I can blush..lol.

I've really gotten into the darker lip colors too. I think it works well paired with the pink pants. For some reason when I wear this lipstick I feel extra sophisticated...lol.
