Mango just had their summer sale and I'm so excited I scored these yellow pants. I have been wanting a pair of yellow pants to round out my pants collection. These were a fashion STEELE at $28 dollars!

A few weeks ago I visited the Micky London showroom and it was amazing! I got to see their stunning collection of scarfs and jewelry and took home this lovely necklace.

I'd been needing one this color and I love that it has a choker feel to it as well.

The color of this jacket is what attracted me to it. I knew it'd be a smart buy...this baby will last forever and never go out of style. I got to wear my new nerdy glasses today. A lot of people have been wearing these lately. Hey..I'm pretty smart without these glasses though haha.

 I got my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at 25. Wrote for my college newspaper (features), a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (Skee-Wee), and never had an average below 3.4. I must say I am pretty smart but don't want to toot my own horn.

The problem I have is money...I spend it on shoes but justify it buy doing a lot of Thrift shopping.

I have made a conscious decision to buy smarter, which for me means:

1). No impluse buys, I have to want it for atleast a month

2). Only spending what I have..no Credit Card purchases

3). Only buying things with great quality that I know will last and that I'd wear atleast 3x monthly.

It's seems I have revamped my entire wardrobe in just one year.

Now I have to have another swap to rid myself of the "leftovers"...September it will be!

P.S. I'm blogging from my phone because my computer wont start!!!!! Yikes. Hope Geek Squad can fix it.

Also I had a great birthday. Pictures to come soon and thanks again for all the wishes. Sorry to my regulars that I usually check and comment on...wont get my comp back for 3-5days but im still reading them..on my phone..haha.

City Opera Thrift Shop

So I have been thrift shopping like a true shopaholic and had to take a peek into City Opera Thrift Shop last week when I visited Housing Works Thrfit Shop. They are both fairly close to each other on 23rd St in NYC. City Opera is a really unique thrift shop and I always love their window displays. They have a great selection of clothes but I come here for the shoes and purses.

They also have a pretty amazing sale on their fur coats right now. I only wear faux but these coats were gorgeous.

I had to try these Steve Maddens on!

I love the layout of this shop and how upstairs overlooks the main level. Its a uniquely shaped shop. They also have a great furniture selection and housing goods.

If you are in town and love thifting check out City Opera Thrift Shop. All the proceeds go toward the creation and production of costumes for New York City Opera at Lincoln Center. I'm so excited for my Shop & Swap Event tomorrow. Will post photos soon!

I love lace. I also love toughing it up a bit with something black. All lace is just too frilly dilly for me. I'm glad I got to pull out these awesome DKNY boots I picked up at DSW last Fall again. They are super comfortable. I am inlove with this purse. I think it's my new favorite of all my purses which is weird because it's small. I'm used to wearing huge "fit my entire life inside them" pocketbooks but lately I like small shoulder bags and cross body bags. I guess I'm maturing more. Really all you need is cash, your metrocard and MAC red right..haha

I love these wedges I got at TOPSHOP recently. Their wedges are awesome quality but I snatched these up when I saw they were originally $175 and marked down to $20. Yes..$20!!!! FASHION STEELE!!!!! This may just be the best fashion STEELE I have ever found! It feels like I'm walking on heaven. See my other favorite pair of TOPSHOP wedges HERE and HERE!!! 

Yall know how I love rings too and this one was calling to me. It is so stunning.

When I saw this dress on ASOS on sale I had to have it. I ordered it a few months ago during the ASOS winter sale. Check it out HERE along with some other buys and deals I got over the winter. This dress is so soft and feminine with the roses so I wanted to edge it up a little. I love the cut of the dress too. I think this summer I will be buying more sweetheart dresses.

Got the Rebel Fleur title from Rihanna who with her last CD Loud...was all about pretty roses and flowers with a little bit of edge!
