NYFW Wrap-Up Video Favorite Moments

Fall 2012 NYFW is one I will never forget. It was so awesome to link up with fellow bloggers
and friends I havent seen since last season.
There is something about being at a fashion show.
The bright lights, the loud music, the beautiful models, everyone waiting with
bated breathe for the next look.
I can't believe I was there. I put together a quick video of some of my favorite moments
during Fall 2012 NYFW so you all can get a feel for how it is inside and outside
Lincoln Center.
Song: Dog Days are Over Florence and the Machine

Hope you all enjoyed the video.

Fashion Week Style in Photos

I loved being in a room of amazingly dressed people. It really puts you on your game.
Since going to shows day after day at Licoln Center...I'm all of a sudden super inspired to put outfits together in different ways.
I have been rummaging through my clothes and creating outfits I'd never thought to put together.
Seriously people watching at New York Fashion Week is THE BEST inspiration...
f@$! pinterest.

I'm going to go play dress up now.
Enjoy!

Whitney Eve Rocked NYFW

I was super excited for the Whitney Eve Fashion Show today and let me tell you
the girl did not dissappoint. There were tons of VELVETS...my favorite material on earth.
The clothing had a bohem chic feel to it. I could totally see Whitney wearing everything from her
Fall 2012 Collection.
Today Lincoln Center was buzzing with excitement and fashion.
I decided to go with a more Spring look today.
Jacket: BCBGMaxazria | Top: Patterson J. Kincaid | Pants: American Apparel
Shoes: Charlotte Olympia | Sunnies: Dolce and Gabbana via Loehmanns | Bag: c/o Rebecca Minkoff

THE LINE UP
Whitney Eve
Rochambeau

I love that the show started with the blaring music of Beyonce's Who Run The World!
Everything was hip and kind of layed back chic without trying too hard. I also spotted
Angela Simmons,  Nigel Barker, Tyson Beckford, Kelly Cutrone and a whole lot more front row at this awesome show.

Whitney Eve

The Whitney Eve Fashion Show was definitely a star studded occasion!
Next up was Rochambeau who had a very interesting take on mens fashion. I loved the long haired shaggy models, the loose fitting pants, the footwear. It was all kind of dark and edgy but hey all girls love a bad boy!
Pretty badass right???? Love the hats too.

So today was my last day of shows. I had an amazing time at fashion week Fall 2012 but I'm kind of glad it's over. My apartment is a mess with clothes and shoes strewn everywhere. I will definitely be taking a break to get some rest and eat actual food this weekend.

Tomorrow it will be all about Lincoln Center Street Style.

Fashion Week feels like HOME

i just dont undertand how the mavericks of fashion do it....going to 20+ shows during fashion week in sky high heels. I've only been covering for 3 days and although I love it with all my heart...
my feet hate me right now.
i swear my feet said "Oh Hell No...are you really squeezing me into a pointy toed pump?!?"
But I digress...fashion week so far has been dream like. When I am surrounded by so many people who are really passionate about fashion just as I am it makes me feel at home.
Today I went bright in the vintage DVF jumper that I scored on ebay for $25 fashion STEELE!

Jumper: Vintage DVF | Cape: Eileen Fisher | Shoes: YSL Opyum
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Necklace: Aldo get a similar one here

LINE UP
Lela Rose
Joy Cioci

Today was a quiet show day. Not too many show but I thoroughly enjoyed both shows today.
Lela Rose kicked off with retro upswept hair and delicate statement neclaces with and array of dresses and patterns. My favorites were the form fitting bodice dresses that hit just at the knee and the gorgeous form fitting mermaid type dresses. I loved Lela Rose Spring 2012 collection and this collection was also chic and glamourous.
Check out this video of the show closing.

Front Row at Lela Rose

Next up was Joy Cioci. I am a huge fan of Joy Cioci and her unique designs. Her aesthetic is youthful and fun and sophisticated all at once. I was greeted with champagne and before I even rounded the corner to view the models..my ears heard one of my FAVORITE songs..
Midnight City M83.
That's when I knew me and Joy Cioci are kindred spirits. But it was kinda freaky when the next song was A Real Hero from Drive Soundtrack and I have these 2 songs in the exact order on my ipod.
But lets get to the clothes! Joy brought it last season and again this season with sharp nails, lacy socks and amazing furs and leathers.
Here are a few favorites. Check out my NYFW link to see a video of the show!
Love the sideswept braid and the pop of color on this blouse.

It's all in the details....the sharp nails, the just off the knuckle gloves and the large lacey sheer socks!
I LOVE IT!

Joy Cioci really wowed me with her collection and her choice of music!

What do you think of these collections?

Front Row NYFW

today was the most fun day of NYFW. this morning when I arrived at Lincoln Center...
the courtyard was bare...is was quietly snowing. No paps...No people... No nothing...
but stillness and the click of my Charles Jourdan Heels on the wet pavement.
Once inside the tents though it was bursting with action, flashes and fashion!
This was definitely a day I will always remember.
I choose to be a little more daring today and rock some vintage too.

Hat: Top Shop | Skirt: Vintage from Curly Top Vintage Shop | Coat: Michael Kors
Shoes: Charles Jourdan get yours HERE | Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Socks: American Apparel

The LINE-UP
Porter Grey
Jill Stuart
Son Jung Wan
Christian Siriano

Porter Grey was definitely one of my favorite lines of the Spring 2012 collections. I also really enjoyed the Fall 2012 collection as well especially the printed dresses and of course the brogues!
Check out this quick video of the presentation.
Porter Grey Fall 2012

Jill Stuart was amazing. I must say I've never really been into her..not for any particular reason but now I'm officially obsessed. What caught my eye was the full mini skirts (so vintage with a twist), the patterns, the black sheer and gold accents and the shoes.
Not to mention this was one of the best styled shows I've seen this NYFW.
Check out the closing video!
Jill Stuart Fall 2012

Son Jung Wan went far and wide. The collection was well rounded with day-to-night wear. I liked the simplicity of it all and how the collection could be worked together. The earth tones and jewel tones also sucked me in along with the warm furs and wools.
The Spring 2012 Collection was also pretty awesome as well.
Check out this closing video of the show.
Son Jung Wan Fall 2012

Last but certainly not least was Christian Siriano.
I can not even put into words how excited I was to view these 38 astonishing looks from Christian.
I have followed his career and he has blossomed into a designer to be reckoned with.
Front row was Mena Suvari, June Ambrose and Gabourey Sidibe.
I was smitten with the clothing...and the shoes. I will be working some extra hours to buy me a pair for sure!
Check out this quick video along with some fun flicks...
ps..he does the cutest little dance at the end!

Minkoff and Miller and Katya.... Oh My

So my line up today was Rebecca Mimkoff, followed by Nicole Miller, followed by Katya Leonovich,
followed by Lulu's Blogger Event, followed by Blogger Night Out.
Yes....my feet hurt.
This was my ensemble for the day...a somewhat repeat of an outfit I wore late in the summer.
Top: Forever 21 Jacket: Dallin Chase Skirt: Vintage Jo Collins
Boots: Vera Wang Lavender Bag: Rebecca Minkoff

Rebecca Minkoff
Definitely my favorite show of the evening. I love the patterns, the use of different textures, the laser detailing, the shoes...the shoes..the shoes. The pieces where put together amazingly so that everything complimented everything. Here's a quick clip of the show.
I'm dying...literally dying for the very first look. It's giving me everything..color...sass...and a little badass. I would wear every single thing in this collection!
Nicole Miller
Another amazing show by Nicole Miller. I love her use of color. She had awesome velvet pants...and you all know how much I love VELVET. I was also really feeling the ombre dress as well.
The collection defnitely had a boho chic feel. Check out the video below.
Compare to Nicole Millers Spring 2012 Collection photos here and video here.
Katya Leonovich
I was skeptical because last season I just didn't get it...but this season is another story. I really enjoyed this collection. It was more well rounded and the accessories...
well they speak for themselves.
I love when models give good "face"...this model was working it!
p.s.
I need these earrings in my life!

I had an awesome time spotting all the celebrity sightings as well. I ran in to J. Alexander again who I meet previously here last season, as well as some new faces such as Coco Rocha, Beverly Johnson and Olivia Palermo.

Today was overwhelming exciting. It was also really fun to connect with other bloggers and people I havent seen since NYFW Spring 2012.
