Trust me...yellow is always an eye catcher

Hello April.
Hello Yellow BCBG Pumps.
Hello Streets of Manhattan.
damn...i love Spring. Nothing better than strutting the streets of New York and getting lost in the boutiques, the street vendors, the gelato, its totally worth paying a fortune in rent.

Top: Nicole Miller via Loehmanns | Jeans: Forever 21| Shoes: BCBGeneration
Purse: Aldo | Sunnies: D&G via Loehmmans see the HERE

These yellow pumps are a pair of oldies but goodies. They are super comfortable and I find people staring at my feet while I'm walking in them...which I like. Nothing like an eyecatching shoe.
Speaking of shoes I just saw this awesome documentary God Save My Shoes, at the Quad Cinema in NYC. It was an awesome movie. It literally had me ohhhhing and awwing outloud.
Ugh...one day ladies and gents I will own a pair of Loubou's...but I hear they are the most uncomfortable shoes on the planet.

what do you think makes a great shoe?
who's your favorite shoe designer?
I am currently digging Brian Atwood and Alexander Wang.

I squeeled in delight when I came across this piece.

Her streetwear designs are some of the best I've seen in a while.

Minkoff and Miller and Katya.... Oh My

So my line up today was Rebecca Mimkoff, followed by Nicole Miller, followed by Katya Leonovich,
followed by Lulu's Blogger Event, followed by Blogger Night Out.
Yes....my feet hurt.
This was my ensemble for the day...a somewhat repeat of an outfit I wore late in the summer.
Top: Forever 21 Jacket: Dallin Chase Skirt: Vintage Jo Collins
Boots: Vera Wang Lavender Bag: Rebecca Minkoff

Rebecca Minkoff
Definitely my favorite show of the evening. I love the patterns, the use of different textures, the laser detailing, the shoes...the shoes..the shoes. The pieces where put together amazingly so that everything complimented everything. Here's a quick clip of the show.
I'm dying...literally dying for the very first look. It's giving me everything..color...sass...and a little badass. I would wear every single thing in this collection!
Nicole Miller
Another amazing show by Nicole Miller. I love her use of color. She had awesome velvet pants...and you all know how much I love VELVET. I was also really feeling the ombre dress as well.
The collection defnitely had a boho chic feel. Check out the video below.
Compare to Nicole Millers Spring 2012 Collection photos here and video here.
Katya Leonovich
I was skeptical because last season I just didn't get it...but this season is another story. I really enjoyed this collection. It was more well rounded and the accessories...
well they speak for themselves.
I love when models give good "face"...this model was working it!
p.s.
I need these earrings in my life!

I had an awesome time spotting all the celebrity sightings as well. I ran in to J. Alexander again who I meet previously here last season, as well as some new faces such as Coco Rocha, Beverly Johnson and Olivia Palermo.

Today was overwhelming exciting. It was also really fun to connect with other bloggers and people I havent seen since NYFW Spring 2012.
What did you think of the collections?

Wow Fashion Week just keeps getting better and better. I was running around from show to show like a mad woman yesterday but it was all WORTH it! I love the feeling of excitement outside the tents. The PAPS snapping photos left and right. The extravagant outfits and decadent shoes! I was running around so much I forgot to take an outfit photo...lucky my photo was taken so much that I found it on the internet and along side Ciara and a Runway model on Essence.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NICOLE MILLER
I'm not going to lie, I've always considered Nicole Miller more of an evening wear kind of designer. I've seen some of her newer street wear which has more appeal to me but her show BLEW ME AWAY! This is something so new and fresh from her and I LOVED IT.

Yes to these shorts! Check out Nicole Miller.

Joy Cioci
This collection was very girly. Lots of laser cut outs, very form flattering, lots of floral details. BRIGHT YELLOWS! I love yellow so to see it so much in her collection was a delight.
P.S. her models were rocking it!

There are definitely more than a few pieces I'd love to have!
