baby blue linen

these baby blue linen American Apparel slacks are a favorite of mine. I've worn the hell out of them..quite literally and need to invest in a new pair. I love the fit of them (high waisted and comfortable). They also really show off my assets if you know what I mean ;). Anywho I instagramed this outfit a few days ago and am just now getting around to posting it. There is just a hint of the same baby blue in the tube/bustier top from Urban Outfitters.

so yes..the Senegalese twist are gone. it had finally gotten too hot in New York and my poor head could not stand it anymore. I took them out in about 45 minutes I was so eager to shed that weight! I missed my hair! Its so much thicker now though when I step out it turns into an afro in this humidity! Back to the outfit....I last wore this top during New York Fashion Week and these vintage earrings were an awesome find during one of my Thrift and the City shopping tours! I will post a video of this outfit soon on my YouTube Channel.

Florals and Flouncy Skirts

Here is another Spring Trends post for you! You can check out the first two of the series HERE and HERE. It seems bright colors and patterns will be a huge hit this Spring. They are already hitting the shelves as stores like H&M and Zara as well as Target! I scored this Prabal Gurung for Target top not too long ago and its still available online. Something about the brightness and pattern scream Spring!

For Spring 2013 its all about BRIGHT COLORS! This skirt has easily become one of my favorites. I love the cobalt color. BTW (cobalt is the hot color for Spring)...you heard it here first lol. I will be able to pair just about anything with this skirt including this stripe top or this sweatshirt. I love these Karen Walker sunnies too! Picked them up at the Karen Walker Fall 2013 Fashion Show!

So I took a trip to Century 21 last week. The one across from the World Trade Center in NYC.

I prefer that one to the new one uptown.

Anywho, I got there right as the doors opened and headed straight for the shoe section and these were the first pair I saw.

I needed a more formal sandal in my shoe collection and this one definitely fit the bill.

Super excited to wear these. I love how the heel looks.

They were a fashion STEELE at $70....originally $140.

In These Shoes? is one of my favorite songs at the moment!

Like wearing pajamas

I actually took these photos about 2 weeks ago but forgot to post them! Ok Ok so I've given in to Harems. These are my second pair and I love them. They are super comfortable. I've been eying this chic pair from H&M for awhile. Then they went on sale for $15 and I was like Fashion STEELE! I scooped them up and I'm glad I did. Love the floral print.

Paired them with an oversized H&M sweater and a cropped H&M black tee.

Nothing wrong with showing a little sliver of belly in the Winter time..right??? lol

Light and Airy

During the Winter months I find myself wearing more heavy colors such as Navy, Gray or Black. Thats pretty much the Winter wardrobe colors for New Yorkers. I needed to lighten it up a little. So I put this little outfit together and love love love it. I plan on wearing it to Spain in May...I know I think waaaaaay ahead of what to pack lol
