I'm still kinda in shock. This is my first time in a widely circulated magazine and it's my favorite magazine! Ahhhhhhhh.

I do like my lips but overall I'm pretty happy with my body and my mind.

I just need to drink more water....if only it tasted like soda.

Events Outfit Recap and an Award

I've gone to so many events the past month and I'm so happy things are starting to slow down a little.

I wanted to do a recap of some outfits I wore to different events.

I also received The Versatile Blogger Award from Janea of Destiny.

Wore this Kas Designs Dress from Loehmann's to the Pretty Girls Rock Dresses Event at Tracy Reese.

I wore this to the Nathaniel Paul Holiday Collection Event.

So on to my award. I was given this award by someone else once before and totally lost the email...so sorry whoever you were.

So 7 facts about me

1). I live in Harlem and really love it..although a lot of people don't pick up their dog poo uptown as much as they do in downtown Mahattan..so I find that Harlem is a lot "shittier" than other areas. But the rent is lower and you get more space for your buck!

2). I gave soda up for Lent...and don't plan on ever drinking it again. I used to be addicted to Pepsi..my body would give me a headache if I didn't drink one a day. That's when I knew I had a problem. So I quit..and it hasn't been easy!

3). I don't work out. People are always like "your body is amazing do you workout?" and I'm like No. lol. I do a lot of lifting and moving around at work and count that as my exercise. I also live on the 5th floor of a walkup (makes for nice toned legs).

4). I spend 40 hours a week exercising other people, massaging people and educating people on their injuries...because I'm a physical therapist. I have my doctorate in physical therapy and have been practicing in New York State for almost 2 years.

5). I feel more comfortable in heels than in sneakers..which is why if you catch me outside of work..anytime..90% of the time I will have on heels.

6). I have 3 tatoos. A small cross on my left foot. Aztec Art on the small of my back and the word "Agaperos" on my right hip.

7). I secretly worry I will end up married to my career. I'm the last of my friends to have a child..being that I have none..or a husband..or a boyfriend..or anything close. Haha. But I love my life and my blog and living in NYC.

Mango Mayhem: How I do an outfit post

For those of us who don't have boyfriends as photographers (oh how I wish...) we usually have to rely on friend's, family, the timer on our camera's and ourselves. I've used all three as well as a hired photographer. 

Today I thought I'd do something awesome and make a quick video of what all goes into my photo posts. It's definitely not as easy as it looks. I hope you all enjoy the video, it includes some of my makeup tips, how and where I shoot my photos and how it all gets put together.

So this is the outfit I wore to the Nathaniel Paul Holiday Collection Event. I posted a few pictures but I wanted an in-depth look. When I saw this skirt at Mango during the

 Mango & Marie Claire Night of Style in NYC 

I almost died. I had to have it and thankfully it was 30% off! I scooped up this necklace as well which I used during the Mango Styling Contest that was judged by Zanna Roberts Rassi, Senior Fashion Editor of

Marie Claire.

I really had a lot of fun putting this video together. I hope it gives you all a little more insight into who I am and also how I tackle the issue of outfit post without a boyfriend or tripod. Haha.

Mango and Marie Claire Night of Style

I had an awesome time at the Mango and Marie Claire Night of Style. Yall know that Marie Claire is my favorite magazine. I have recently started looking on the Mango website and bought an awesome pair of cresent moon earrings that I wore to Fashion Night at the W Hotel.

This event had fun music, delicious champagne and amazeball clothes!

There was a contest style your own look with all Mango clothing, have your photo taken by Zanna Rassi, Marie Claire's Senior Fashion Editor and entered in a raffle to when $500 giftcard to Mango. This is the outfit I styled..and Zanna loved it!

I went with a striped blazer, floral skirt, basic Mango tank, and a Mango necklace with a pop of color.

I ended up buying this necklace...it's GAWGEOUS!

I lost the contest but I won by getting to meet Zanna...WINNING!!!!!

 She is super sweet and tres fashionable.

I had such a great time tonight. Let me tell you that champagne was delicious and probably had me delirious because I spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much money in Mango. Haha. Maybe it was the 30% off of everything that had my mind reeling. I really got 2 amazing buys that I can't wait to share with you. We even got a goodie bag with the lastest Marie Claire. I'm actually looking for a new book to read. Something that is just going to suck me in and not let me sleep at night.
