pointy toed heels...didn't die

a while ago I wrote that I thought the pointy toed heel was on its way out to be replaced by the
extreme platform...but I was WRONG.
the pointy toed heel is now back in style..just look at how Zara sold those cutout side pointy toed heels and they sold like hot cakes..so quick i didn't get a chance to get a pair!
but i still have these bright yellow BCBGenerations...from 10 years ago!

Outfit
Top: Forever 21
Skirt: H&M see it worn differently here and here
Shoes: BCBGeneration
Ring: Got it in Mexico
Clutch: Another no name from Century 21 check out my purse collection here
Necklace: Tuleste

i swear i wear the hell outta this shirt. its so comfortable and goes with everything. it also doesn't hurt that it only cost me 10 bucks!  anywho so my prediction about pointy toed heels being OUT was so false. i ran out and got these immediately after seeing Joan from the show Girlfriends in a similar pair. I miss that show..but my fashion IDOL Tracee E. Ross is in a new show coming out.. that of course I will have to find online because I dont have cable O_o
I can't believe I've had these shoes so long and they are still going strong!
i love my shoes. i should do a purely shoe post....i'll get started on that now lol

Leopard in heat...

Outfit
Top: Zara
Pants: H&M
Shoes: Top Shop...see them here and here.
Necklace: Tuleste from the gift shop at The W Hotel Times Square

This is definitely one of my new favorite tops and actually the only leopard top I own. I got it at Zara a few weeks ago. I wore it with the necklace I picked up at The W Hotel in Times Square. I have been to a few events there and love it. The Living Room at the W Hotel was where I hoted my first
Since then it's grown to over 70 members and I'm extremely excited about that.
If you have a vision go for it. I was so nervous no one would show up but now it's off and running.
So excited about the down right hot weather in NYC right now. Today was gorgeous...just the perfect amount of heat and breezes.
These pants are currently in H&M and they are so comfortable yet stylish. They feel a lot like wearing sweats.

I have actually seen a few people who are able to pull off actually sweats to make them look chic. I'm not one of those people able to do that but applaud those who can make damn near anything look chic.

What do you think...are sweat pants an acceptable day time look?

Stripes, Fedora and Boyfriend Jeans

I love Stripes! I can't get enough of them and although I have about 4 striped shirts, I just keep buying more! Stripes and Fedora's and Boyfriend jeans go hand and hand...don't you think?

I got this great necklace a few weeks ago when I attended Fashion Night at the W Hotel. They have an amazing boutique giftshop and I was like a kid in a candy store in there. I had to have this necklace as soon as I saw it!

I have been eyeing these Steve Madden Gold Lame Platforms at Nordstroms Rack for about 2 months. After trying them on several times I decided to purchase them when they went on sale. Guess how much I got them for????...$25!!!! Real fashion STEELE!

I really love this look. It's so Spring! Can you tell how much I'm ushering in Spring with my outfit post? I'm thinking of traveling some this summer. I want to go places with a lot of history and great shopping.
Does anyone have any tips of great places to go????

Fashion Night at the W Hotel

Malik Williams "The Stylist" hosted a fantastic event at the W Hotel last night in NYC. I went with my friends Sheena and Stephanie. It was great to mingle and network with lots of people in the industry. There were tons of stylist, up and coming designers and models. The atmosphere was Fashion Chic to the bone and I enjoyed myself. The highlight of my night was discovering that on the 7th Floor of the W Hotel Times Square lies a boutique giftshop. Now this wasn't just any old gift shop. This boutique was filled with designer one of a kind jewelry, dolce vita, BB dakota and just a mind boggling amount of cocktail rings. Of course I couldn't leave without buying something!

Me, Sheena and Stephanie
Stephanie with designers Brucling and Robot. They design an awesome line of bow-ties. Check them out www.robotandbrucling.com
The space was very creative with large blown up model photography, a runway show being played on a wall, soft lighting, and just a plethora of fashion!

As soon as I walked through this store...(I was told by a worker of the venue that I had to walk through a store to get to the bathroom) I was in retail heaven! I didn't make it to the bathroom until I wanted to try on a dress!
Sheena looking around at all the great merchandise in the store. My good friend Sheena is rocking a thrifted dress. I love her style btw. She's a real thrifting fashionista.
Super happy I finally got to wear my Mango earrings!

My goody bag from The W Store. So check out the cool stuff I bought at the W Hotel Times Square (7th Floor)
This gorgeous necklace by Tuleste and the Dolce Vita Macie shorts. I can't wait to wear these in the Spring!

So far this Fashion Week has been nonstop for me. I've barely slept the past 3 days. I'm super tired and I'm going to try to get a nap in at some point this evening because tonight I'm partying at Griffin. Tomorrow is another fashion show and Monday I'm going to claim some free gifts I received at IFB Conference (Stay tuned for my gift bag post). Monday I'm also maybe (crossing my fingers) going to get some access to the shows at Lincoln Center. OMG!!! So what do you all think of my purchases?
