Afrika Skirt

I recently rediscovered all the Afrika skirts I picked up last summer at American Apparel. Im not sure if they make them anymore but I have a ton of them including this one and this one. The patterns and colors are really great. I paired this skirt with my denim top that I wear with just about everything. its wonderful as a neutral and I find myself wearing it more and more. I finished the look with my Michael Kors slingbacks...I love love love the copper heel too.

I've been rocking these Senegalese twist for nearly two months and although I love them they are getting way too hot for my head in this heat! I'm going to be taking them out soon and really don't know what I'm going to do with my hair after that. I'm sure i will cut it, just not sure how short I will cut it. Stay tuned.

baby its cold outside

actually its freezing outside. the weather in NYC today was super rainy with ice and snow. good thing I got out before the snow came in and finally rocked my Michael Kors faux fur coat that I got for a STEELE at Marshalls. I paired in down with a top I got from Loehmanns (on sale) and my favorite pair of boyfriend jeans. it is quite possible to look fashionable even when its cold but I also love my very ugly down black bubble coat as well. its keeps me warm but it looks like hell.

I hope everyone's holiday was rocking! I had such a great time. I saw the movie Django Unchained and I really enjoyed it. I then had dinner with friends. It was a great Christmas for me. I am sooooo looking forward to New Years! I already have my outfit ready to go. I will keep you all posted on what I will be wearing...think sequins!

all white jumpsuit

you've seen major stars pull off the all white look such as Rihanna in her all white suit to the 2011 Billboard Awards. i've been craving to get in on the action. i came across this white jumpsuit at Zara a month or so ago but waited to buy it until I was in Barcelona

because i knew it would be hella cheaper! anywho...i love it but feel it's so chic I can only wear it on special occasions.

i kept it simple with a nude Michael Kors pump and accessories. this is absolutely my new favorite bag. a fashion STEELE at less than $30! i love the structure of the bag and that it's just different from anything i've seen before. this will definitely be making an appearance at New York Fashion Week! the bag and jewelry as well as earrings all came from this awesome store in North Carolina called Light Years. I wish they would hurry up and sell online so i can continue to shop there even while here in New York!

military inspired

with Fleet Week as my inspiration when i was putting this outfit together I knew exactly what I wanted...tough yet dainty.

I love the structure of the top and that its crisp and defined paired with the softness of the

 sheer pleated shorts. I think the combination worked out well for a great overall look.

this top is one of my favorites. I keep finding new ways to wear it. i've also being itching to wear these shorts again...finally its hot enough to wear shorts and my new Michael Kors Slingbacks.

I've definitely gotten more into pointy toed shoes. they died out for about half a second and then BAM were super popular again. I've also noticed that designers are into making chunky shorter heels now. I'm not really into that trend at all. The higher the heel the better but I have noticed I have more and more heels under 4 inches which is short for me. lol. I like to feel like a giant when I'm in the room and most times I can see clear over everyones head. lol. somehow I managed to get off topic...anywho..presto..this is the outfit of the day! military inspired tops and vest are making a huge comeback this summer and I like it!

ps..i wearing very tiny biker shorts underneath to keep the world from seeing my bum.

more shoes...yes please Michael Kors

i had been eyeing these Michael Kors slingbacks for awhile...but I didn't buy them.

the main reason was because they are slingbacks. I personally didn't own one pair of slingbacks and i think its because I always had a notion that they were for more mature women of a certain age.

but i couldn't resist when I saw them marked down at Loehmann's from $159 to $127. I also had a 20% off coupon on top of my 10% Diamond Card Membership on top of my 15% off Birthday Month Coupon.

Needless to say for a whooping $58 fashion STEELE!

so i told you all I'd be buying a pair of shoes each week this month because its my birthday month.
you've already seen these L.A.M.B. sandals I also scored at Loehmanns.
when it comes to shoes...Loehmanns is always on point.
I really love the curve of the heel on this shoe and the color! Rose gold..yes please.
Now if only I could have a Michael Kors fairy godmother grant me
 this Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch to match!
