Front Row NYFW

today was the most fun day of NYFW. this morning when I arrived at Lincoln Center...
the courtyard was bare...is was quietly snowing. No paps...No people... No nothing...
but stillness and the click of my Charles Jourdan Heels on the wet pavement.
Once inside the tents though it was bursting with action, flashes and fashion!
This was definitely a day I will always remember.
I choose to be a little more daring today and rock some vintage too.

Hat: Top Shop | Skirt: Vintage from Curly Top Vintage Shop | Coat: Michael Kors
Shoes: Charles Jourdan get yours HERE | Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Socks: American Apparel

The LINE-UP
Porter Grey
Jill Stuart
Son Jung Wan
Christian Siriano

Porter Grey was definitely one of my favorite lines of the Spring 2012 collections. I also really enjoyed the Fall 2012 collection as well especially the printed dresses and of course the brogues!
Check out this quick video of the presentation.

Jill Stuart was amazing. I must say I've never really been into her..not for any particular reason but now I'm officially obsessed. What caught my eye was the full mini skirts (so vintage with a twist), the patterns, the black sheer and gold accents and the shoes.
Not to mention this was one of the best styled shows I've seen this NYFW.
Check out the closing video!
Jill Stuart Fall 2012

Son Jung Wan went far and wide. The collection was well rounded with day-to-night wear. I liked the simplicity of it all and how the collection could be worked together. The earth tones and jewel tones also sucked me in along with the warm furs and wools.
The Spring 2012 Collection was also pretty awesome as well.
Check out this closing video of the show.

Last but certainly not least was Christian Siriano.
I can not even put into words how excited I was to view these 38 astonishing looks from Christian.
I have followed his career and he has blossomed into a designer to be reckoned with.
Front row was Mena Suvari, June Ambrose and Gabourey Sidibe.
I was smitten with the clothing...and the shoes. I will be working some extra hours to buy me a pair for sure!
Check out this quick video along with some fun flicks...
ps..he does the cutest little dance at the end!

Fashion Week Day 1

Whoa...yesterday was amazing! Walking into Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.....I was speechless which rarely happens. I felt right at home amongst the shiny people, I mean shiny cars lol. These shows are actually the first I've ever attended in Lincoln Center and its trully something I wanted to savor and never forget.
Check out an overall video of my experience during Day 1 of Fashion Week HERE!

Porter Grey
Loved the simplicity of the collection. Very clean cut lines, flowing fabrics and muted and pastel colors. Love the flat oxfords all the models were wearing as well. To see a quick video of the show check out my NYFW Coverage Link.

These large floral print shorts were an absolute favorite of mine. They can be worn throughout the season.

Overall the collection was really cohesive and lovely. Perfect for the modern girl who is not too fussy when it comes to clothing. Effortlessly chic with a parison twist.

BCBGMAXAZRIA

Max went another direction with lots of BRIGHT POPs of color and ethnic prints. I love the unique cutouts of every piece as well. This show was phenomenal. I definitely have to cop a few of these amazing ethinic print tops for Spring. Check out a quick video of the show in my NYFW Coverage section.

COOL FLICKS

So stoked I had the chance to meet so many amazing people especially Isaiah Garza of Fashion Munster who is super nice. We've been twitter friends forever so it was nice to finally meet.
To see more of my outfit check out my feature on Fashion Bomb Daily!

FNO
I'm pretty excited because I was asked to be one of the many co-host of Caravan and Magnum Ice Cream Fashion Night Out Party!
I started the night in Soho and checked out Top Shop, Sephora, and Mango! There was all kinds of madness outside the Kardashian's clothing store DASH. Check out my NYFW Coverage Link for a quick video of the FNO madness in Soho.
I ended the night co-hosting at Sky Room with Caravan and Magnum Ice Cream for their FNO party.

My Outfit For the Night...I actually ended up changing shoes.

Overall it was quite a day! I'm still pretty exhausted but I am LOVING everything thing about my first NYFW experience. I'm actually blogging right now from the tents! No time to go home today because I have a whole roster of shows. Dont't forget to check out my YouTube Channel for short videos of all the NYFW happeninings!

So what fo you think of the Porter Grey and BCBGMAXAZRIA Spring Collections?
Also what did you do for Fashion Night Out?!?
