snake skin

I am obsessed with python print. I searched high and low for the perfect snake skin maxi dress and found this gorgeous one that I wore to Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference in September.
It was a hit! I wanted to add a layer being that its kinda thin so it's appropriate for the Fall weather thats now kicking it up a notch in NYC.

Outfit
Dress: Lovers and Friends
Boots: NYLA via DSW see the rest of my boot collection HERE
Sweater: GAP
Necklace; Thrifted from Housing Works Diesel
Lipstick: Sephora Brand
Purse: Thrifted from Brooklyn Flea Market

I love this cosy sweater from GAP and the best thing is that it turns a summer dress into the perfect Fall ensemble. I really want some python print ballerina flats. I also got to break out my tiny little purse from Brooklyn Flea Market. I plan to visit the market again in a few weeks once they move it inside.

Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving!

velvet: the best material on earth

yes i have a thing for shiny, furry feeling material.
Velvet is my favorite of them all.
even though this velvet body suit from H&M is more for warmer weather with the heat wave earlier this week in NYC and my fav vintage cardigan..I made it work. lol

Outfit
Velvet Bodysuit: American Apparel see it worn differently HERE
Skirt: American Apparel
Cardigan: Vintage from Finderz Keeperz Vintage Boutique
Boots: Vera Wang Lavender see my boot collection HERE
Purse: Vintage Coach
Even though it's colder I just can't bring myself to cover up EVERY piece of skin.
I read once that Anna Wintour requires her interviewees to NEVER WEAR pantyhose even in the dead of winter with a skirt or dress. It kind of reminded me of the Sex and the City movie when the girls go to fashion week and even though there is snow and ice on the ground Carrie has on a skirt with no stockings but cute little booties with socks.
I dont mind showing a little calf or ankle...as long as the rest of me is covered up.
what do you all think about the stocking no stocking debate in the winter?

fashion isn't always expensive

but these YSL pumps and this Marc Jacobs bag sure as hell were.
teehee
I guess we all make sacrifices for "investment pieces"

Outfit
Pants: H&M see them in another post HERE
Top: Forever 21 see it worn differently HERE
Shoes: YSL Opyum
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Necklace: Modern Tibet

I have a feeling I am going to be wearing these harems A LOT! They are so chic yet soooo frickin comfy! No wonder I've been wearing them sooo often . Decided to break out my YSL's. I really love them. They are indeed the tiniest heel I own but the pointed purple tip is very sophisicated.
I'm on my grown women ish in these CFMP...(can anyone guess that those letters mean?!)
haha if you figured it out.
I got the bag and the shoes on my visit to Saks when I won the Saks and Stylelist Competition.
It was actually my First time ever in Saks and I was mesmerized by all the amazing clothing.
I also had a great time with my customer service rep. She basically took me from floor to amazing floor helping me pick my items.
I felt like queen of the world!

i feel like julia roberts

there is something about a thigh high boot that instantly evokes the
Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman in me!
I mean not the im a hooker part but mainly because I feel super powerful and sexy in them.
I definitely think a thigh high boot are a must-have for the season.
That way you can keep your skirts and even shorts active in your colder winter clothes rotation.
