Spring Lookbook Pt VII: Stripes and Wedges

I love stripes and think the trend will continue into the Spring season complimenting bold pops of colors. I'm definitely going to keep my Fall strips in my wardrobe for the Spring season. I like billowy shorts as well in soft linens for the Spring. I think the basic denim short will continue to be a Spring favorite but large vintage type shorts will also be in for Spring.
Keeping with the rosette details in an earlier post I love this purse from H&M! So so feminine and can be used as a clutch as well. I also love the larger leather off white bag as well for storing all my items in for those Spring picnics in Central Park.

I love these linen army green shorts I thrifted from Goodwill last summer for less than $5. They are super comfortable and go with just about anything. I like paired them with this soft pastel pink in the Top Shop Chiffon/Suede wedges. Also paired this outfit with a great vintage belt I got here at Beacons Closet in Brooklyn during a thrifting trip.

Keeping with my theme of wood and natural accessories I wanted to include a straw fedora to compliment this outfit. I cant wait for Spring...this is one of my favorite hats! This hat reminds me of one I saw Carrie wear in SATC and I feel so chic when I wear it. This outfit can easily be worn with the the Jessica Simpson Danys as well.

Spring Lookbook Pt VI: Jersey Dresses

For Spring I want lots and lots of comfortable jersey material dresses and tops. I love jersey because it doesn't really wrinkle and is easy to pack. I also am really into wedges and pops of turquoise colors. I've stuck to my Spring color palette of Blues, Browns and Whites.
This is one of my favorite jersey dresses in an off-white color. Got this dress for less than $10 at Marshalls about 3 years ago!

Love these turquoise earrings! Got these at my favorite NYC accessory store Jewelry Plaza!!! only $3 Fashion STEELE!

This is one of my favorite thrifted purses. I love the leather woven braided details especially in the shoulder straps. This is also a longer strap bag which I think will be in for Spring!

I love this combination. I can almost see myself on a nice sunny day, the warmth of the sun on my face, walking through the park,  in this exact outfit. I'm so ready for Spring I dont know what to do with myself. The Winter here in NYC is brutal this year! However I am super excited for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week!!!!!!

I actually took these photos about 2 weeks ago but forgot to post them! Ok Ok so I've given in to Harems. These are my second pair and I love them. They are super comfortable. I've been eying this chic pair from H&M for awhile. Then they went on sale for $15 and I was like Fashion STEELE! I scooped them up and I'm glad I did. Love the floral print.

Paired them with an oversized H&M sweater and a cropped H&M black tee.

Nothing wrong with showing a little sliver of belly in the Winter time..right??? lol

My Personal Style:Spring Lookbook Pt V

Along with ankle length/mid calf skirts I also think tulip skirts will continue to be hot for Spring but not the structured tulip skirt but more easy breezy with cotton and jersey materials. Neutral colors with pops of jewel tones will continue to be my Spring go-to color palette.

Love the pop of colors in the earrings.

I love tulip skirts. What do you all of think of tulip skirts???? I think for Spring skirts are going to be less structured with more soft and slowing fabric.

My Personal Style: Spring Lookbook Pt IV

This Spring I'm definitely into crisp whites and tribal prints (whether it be tribal clothing or accessories). I have also updated my wardrobe to include more ankle length skirts to showcase my love for wedges and ultra high platforms for Spring 2011. I've also stuck to my Spring Color Pallette: Blues, Browns, Greens and Whites.

Once again I have incorporated tribal prints and natural wood necklaces such as this one I got from Housing Works Thrift Store here!!!!!!!

I love this crisp white beater from BCBG with the extra wide arm holes. See more of it HERE!!!!!!
Here I switched it up with my favorite silk vintage skirt! Only $5!!! The tribal print skirt was thrifted from Goodwill NYC. I paired this outfit with my neutral colored Market cork wedges!!!

My Personal Style: Spring Lookbook Pt III

I'm loving crisp whites with detailing for Spring. In the last post I had a great white rose applique top from American Apparel. I also featured turquoise, tribal print, ivory and natural wood accesories. From accessories to clothing this will be a major staple in my Spring wardrobe. Here is another look from my personal Spring Style Lookbook.

The detailing on the blouse is amazing!
I would pair this top with some great cut off shorts and wedges for a great Spring/Summer look.

Torquoise will be one of my main color staples for Spring. Its a refreshing color yet and earth tone. Turquoise necklaces, and earrings are shown above. I wouldn't ever pair alike necklaces and earrings but wanted to show them individually. Got the necklace from Forever 21 last week for just $8!!!! Fashion STEELE!!!

I also wanted to feature this awesome necklace I got from Modern Tibet, all handmade jewelry. See more of this necklace here!!!!!!

What do you all think of my Spring 2011 trends so far????Am I on the right track???? What accessory trends do you think will be in the spotlight this Spring?

My Personal Style: Spring Lookbook 2011 Pt II

So last post I previewed my Spring Look for the 2011. I like the combination of colors: blue, white, cognac and green for the Spring Season. I also discussed tribal print, natural wood, and ivory accessories. I want to debut another "look" from my personal Spring Style lookbook.

My color predictions for the Spring Season 2011 are blues, greens, whites and browns. I kept with the color sceme with this look. I also am in love with this rose applique top from American Apparel. This top can transend seasons. I paired it with mint colored linen tailored pants from American Apparel as well.
This look would work with any number of heels but I prefer these cognac platforms by Jessica Simpson.

Color Palette Combination
I like mixing silks, cottons and this rose applique.

Details can add the extra umph to any outfit!

Accessory Trends
Last posting I commented about my style for this Spring as far as accessories are concerned. I'm stacking up on : thick bangles(woods, ivories, turquoise and tribal prints)! I have incorporated these into my ring selections as well. I love the large statement cocktail rings in natural colors.

Wedges, Wedges and more Wedges. I'm definitely sticking with wedges this Spring. They are very comfortable yet fashionable. I like pops of color such as these turquoise wedges with wood detailing. I also like to experiment with different textures such as the suede and chiffon TopShop wedges and the leather and wood in the torquoise platforms. The neutral cork wedge is by Market and will be a great staple for my Spring Wardrobe when I wear more colored pants or tops.

Outfit combining some of my Spring Color Palette see more of this look here!!!!!

What shoe trends do you think will rule this Spring Season?

My Personal Style: Spring Lookbook Preview 2011

With Spring on the way and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2011 coming up in just a few weeks I decided to put together my own personal style spring lookbook preview.
I definitely have started beefing up my wardrobe for Spring and Summer.

COLOR TRENDS
I think this Spring I will be focusing more on earthy colors such as:
Soft Blues: Mint Blue, Torquoise, Baby Blues
Whites: Crisp stark whites and soft off whites
Tans and Browns: Camel and Cognac
Greens: Earth tone greens, army green and sage
Woods, Torquoise and Tribal Inspired Accessories
Overall for me hot colors this Spring are: Blue, Brown, White and Green

I also think that skirts that hit just at mid-lower calf are going to make a huge come back this Spring. The Maxi Skirt will still reign supreme but how will you show off your amazing shoes with Maxis? This is the solution. I love this vintage A-Line Pleated skirt in white heavy linen.

ACCESSORIES
Large statement bangles are a definite must for the Spring season. Tribal prints, natural wood, and ivories will be my Spring go-to accessories.

I combined some of my color and accessory trends with this look.
Top: Vintage Skirt: Vintage Shoes: Jessica Simpson Belt: Urban Outfitters

So what do you fashionistas think will be burning up the runway in a few weeks? Do you all have any color or trends that you expect to see for the Spring Runway shows? I'm not much into designers but am anxious to see what the designers think will be "it" for the Spring season.

Stay Tuned for more of My Personal Style Spring Lookbook!!! I'll be posting throughout the week.
