all DRESSED up and nowhere to go

i got this really cool sweater dress at the Blogger Closet Raid this summer.
I really love how heavy it is and the weird fur-like sleeves.

Outfit
Dress: Cheap Monday
Necklace: Thrifted...see it and my other jewelry in my Jewelry Haul YouTube Video
Lipstick: Sephora Brand
I'm actually quite used to going out on the town by myself. a few weeks ago I went to brunch at one of my favorite spots in Harlem Il Caffe Latte. I always get the same thing: Chai Tea Latte, Ham, Mushroom and Feta Omelet and a croissant with jam on the side.
It's so weird how people stare when you eat alone.
single people like brunch too! lol

Of course now its too cold to wear this now without opaque tights....ahhh how I wish Indian Summer we had just a few weeks ago (insert sad face here). Ohhh BTW American Apparel has the BEST opaque tights for winter and they really last..but I always buy 2 pair to get me through the winter!
what do you like to do alone?
I actually LOVE to SHOP by myself.

Blogger Closet Raid

Yesterday I attended the Blogger Closet Raid at the lovely Tribeca Grand Hotel. The event was sponsored by Lyst and organized by the awesome Jennine founder of Independent Fashion Bloggers and her blog The Coveted. There were tons of awesome bloggers selling their clothes. My favorites were Keiko Lynn, Nitro:licious and Sammy Davis Vintage.
I ended up buying a vintage dress from Sammy Davis Vintage, a dress from Keiko Lynn and a sweater dress from Jennine. Can't wait to wear my finds!

Nitro:Licious had a million gazillion shoes...all size 6 (insert gag followed by drool here). So sad I wear a size 10. We both thought maybe if I cut off my toes I have a fighting chance...but then again I could never wear sandals again.
Tried on this coat from Sammy Davis Vintage but didn't end up getting it.
Nicole and I outside of the Tribeca Grand Hotel.

My Buys:
Only $10 fashion STEELE!

Outfit
Crop Tee: American Apparel
Skirt: Vintage Bought at The Vintage Twin Trunk Show
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
Button Down: Son of John via Loehmann's

I had an awesome time at this event and met some really cool people. After the event my friend and I strolled through Soho's lovely cobblestone streets. I even saw one of New York's Style Socialites Genevieve Jones walking her adorable pooch!
I love my buys too. I plan to wear the lace number with these steel toe boots I just got from Marshalls. I have visions already for all these pieces. Can you believe I am already starting to think about what I should wear for fashion week! It's so far away but I just can't stop thinking about it.
So excited I only work a four day week this week thanks to July 4th!

What are your holiday plans?

xoxo
