feather skirt

yes...I know...its cold outside. these photos were part of a story I had to turn in to Glamour.com about ways to style a blazer. this is one of my favorite blazers. i love the inner lining and the matching sleeve cuffs. it's a great piece to make any outfit just that more chic. although...the blazer is nothing compared to the feathery goodness going on beneath it.

i got this skirt from ASOS a few months ago when i convinced myself i would wear it for New Years and of course promptly changed my mind and went with this sequin number instead. but i will definitely get some wear out of this skirt in the spring and summer. it is the perfect date outfit!

with the cooler weather comes...bad hair days.

days when your hair just wont even think about cooperating and days when its so windy there is no possible style that can withstand the sheer force of air. thus...i reintroduce my trusty bowler hat.

he's been good to me.

Pink & Pepper

so this was a dress I went through hell and high water to get at a sale at Urban Outfitters. Read about that crazy story here. I recently rediscovered it smushed between two other dresses in my closet. YAY! don't you just love when that happens! this time I paired my teeny yellow number with a blazer and these hot Pink & Pepper tribal heel pumps.

these pink & pepper shoes really set it off i think. I love the cut of this dress and the blazer makes it a little more "yes im about to go to something important and businessy" type of look. if you are looking for a great year round yellow dress check out this one, this one and definitely this one!

PS. a great tip for holding your precious mags...use a wine rack...works just as well as a magazine holder with more sparkle!

I've been rocking the hell outta these awesome shoes that I picked up a Daffy's a few weeks ago.

They are totally comfortable and make any look a bit more rocker.

i think the bralet top is the perfect way to show a little skin without showing too much with the blazer.

i have been working hard to clear out my closet. I figure if i havent worn it this past year and dont love it to pieces its gotta go. I have a huge pile to donate and the other half has made it on to my store SHOP FASHION STEELE NYC
