excuse me for wearing the heck out of the Forever 21 plaid shirt but it has done wonders for my wardrobe. I first wore it tied at the waist and it came in handy that evening when it was a little cold in a Moroccan restaurant I frequent in Harlem. This time though I went bananas and paired it with a blue skirt from ASOS that's one of my favorites!

so apparently summer is over in New York City. its been very mild and im am by no means complaining. I love this type of weather. I'm already thinking about Fall and what summer items I will put away and what summer items will work right up until Winter. For sure this plaid top will be a year round staple. So much so that I plan to take it with me to Paris next month.

what men want you to wear

I read somewhere that if a guy had to see you in clothes (they prefer you naked) that they'd just want to see you in jeans and a plain tee-shirt. Well...its simple enough lol. I wore this outfit last week but seriously its getting entirely too hot for jeans, even comfy boyfriend jeans! At the moment its a scorching 90 something and I prefer to be in my apartment...the way men really prefer women. lol. That's one thing I truly miss about Southern living...the central air conditioning. Lord knows this window unit is just about useless right now. Ahh to be a New Yorker. It definitely has its ups...and its downs.

GET THE LOOK

I do love these jeans that I scorned at ASOS. They have a great selection of boyfriend jeans in all washes and cuts. I like the army print design on the pockets of these jeans though. That's really what caught my eye. Anywho, looks like the pool in my neighborhood was finally filled so you know what that means....plenty of bathing suit shopping in the next few weeks. I still have this great Marc Jacobs swimsuit from my trip to Barcelona last year...but im itching for a new one like this one or this one.

I've been getting into the sport chic look lately with sweat shirts like this one and also with these draw string shorts. this skirt is from Tibi and although I don't wear it often I love the shape of it and the material. Its perfect for dressing up a sporty look with the extra soft sweatshirt from Zara. To finish off the look I went with my white alexander wang sandals. the weather in New York has been crazy. One day its super hot and the next is raining like crazy then the next its in the 60's. I still haven't put away all my Fall clothes yet lol but think I will soon.

I hope you all having a great week! I spent mine cleaning my apartment, eating and paying a bunch of bills. The weather was stunning yesterday. I plan to do something cool soon like going to Coney Island (I've never been im such a bad new yorker). I also want to see that new movie After Earth because I pretty much have seen everything Will Smith has been in and this wont be an exception. Also excuse my lack of posts lately...I have recently acquired a boyfriend and they take up a lot of time lol. Be sure to check out my CLOSET im selling tons of shoes and bags!
