excuse me for wearing the heck out of the Forever 21 plaid shirt but it has done wonders for my wardrobe. I first wore it tied at the waist and it came in handy that evening when it was a little cold in a Moroccan restaurant I frequent in Harlem. This time though I went bananas and paired it with a blue skirt from ASOS that's one of my favorites!

so apparently summer is over in New York City. its been very mild and im am by no means complaining. I love this type of weather. I'm already thinking about Fall and what summer items I will put away and what summer items will work right up until Winter. For sure this plaid top will be a year round staple. So much so that I plan to take it with me to Paris next month.

Spring Trends Guide 2013: COLOR and PRINTS

Nothing signifies Spring more that bright pops of color and mind boggling prints! Enter this Duro Olowu for JC Penney top that I picked up during NYFW! It soooooo perfect. Its bright, and incorporates not only a cool print but stripes as well! Paired with a bright flouncy skirt (invest in one or three!) and we have another spring outfit! this skirt is so comfortable and I love the shape of it! red is another hot color for spring! this white beaded necklace is one of my favorites although I can't remember where I got it. I have a feeling I will be wearing white a lot this spring and summer.

 it's here folks...Fall came with a vengence especially here in New York City. the nights are getting chilly and i think that had something to do with this week long flu like bug i've had since fashion week. i got this top from Zara a while back during their sale and have been waiting for the perfect time to wear it! no time like the present.

GET THE LOOK

 for this Fall season my own personal trend will definitely be color blocking with two like colors or two different colors in the same family such as this green on green look i pulled off during New York Fashion Week. I really loved how the greens and blues in this top and H&M jeans compliment each other. i am also on a huge burgandy/ox blood/black and grey kick. im not sure why but i am gravitating to jewel tones and deep rich colors for Fall so be prepared to see me in a lot of that.

what trends are you expecting to see this Fall?
for me its all about pencil skirts, jewel tones, leathers and crisp whites..yes...WHITES!

im pretty sure some months ago i reported that you all will never and i mean never see me in polka dots.

i am eating my words.

at the Caravan Studio I came across this amazing Taylor Dress. I also did a post a while back when I visited their showroom here. Taylor dresses are the perfect feminine girly girl dresses.

i couldn't resist this audrey hepburn like dress.

i just find this dress to be so classic. i can imagine wearing it to some very official political event or to the annual polo match in NYC. i really love the shape of it. Taylor Dresses are really made with a womans curves in mind. i think for the very first polka dot piece in my wardrobe...it's all i'll ever need.
