parisian thoughts

when i put together this outfit i was thinking of my trip to Paris next year. I am quite excited about it being that its my dream city...next to New York. when i was a teenager living in North Carolina all i could think about was living in New York City. now that i've been here 6 years all I can think about is Paris. I spent high school learning French and reading Le Petit Prince a million times (in french). i used to dream in French. im rusty now. i can read it and write it much better than I can speak it.
i cant wait to roam the streets and visit the vintage shops. i cant wait to visit Musee du Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Jardin des Tuileries, and Versailles.
but for now the closest I will get to french anything is these YSL pumps.

Sweater: Aiko via Loehmanns | Skirt: Vintage thrifted | Bag: Vintage Thrifted

GET THE LOOK

i love the romantic look of white on satin pearl white. i think for the winter i will be doing a lot of winter whites. the texture of the sweater is what drew me to it. its sooooo luxuriously soft. i topped the look off with a thrifted bag i got during one of my Thrift and the City Tours. I love this vintage jacquard skirt. i've had it for atleast 10 years. I got it from a great vintage shop Time After Time in Chapel Hill, NC. it cost about $10 but i've worn it to very special occasions. the last being New York Fashion Week. During my trip next year to Paris I will be there during fashion week but im all about getting to know the city and if i make it to a show or two...well that's just dandy. My dream hotel to stay in is the Mandarin Oriental Paris. It is such a serence and beautiful hotel.
we shall see how it works out!

do you have a dream city you love?

the boyfriend

jeans that is....
i love boyfriend jeans. some people love skinny jeans....but i love boyfriend jeans.
mainly because they are super comfortable and all you need is a killer
heel to make them instantly chic.

Top: Patterson J. Kincaid | Boyfriend Jeans: H&M see them worn HERE differently
Shoes: Joie via DSW | Bag: Thrifted at Brooklyn flea market | Sunnies: D&G
these new shoes are so comfortable and unique. they definitely spruced this outfit up a little.
im getting into patterned tops like this one as well. i've been eyeing this one and this one from TopShop. Zara has some pretty amazing ones as well but im waiting until i go to barcelona to see if I can find better. also glad i got to break out one of my favorite thrifted purses. See it worn HERE differently and in a video of all my Thrifted Purses.
so what are your favorite kind of jeans?

i feel like julia roberts

there is something about a thigh high boot that instantly evokes the
Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman in me!
I mean not the im a hooker part but mainly because I feel super powerful and sexy in them.
I definitely think a thigh high boot are a must-have for the season.
That way you can keep your skirts and even shorts active in your colder winter clothes rotation.

next to nothing

Outfit
Dress: LUSH via Necessary Objects
Necklace: Brooklyn Flea Market get yours HERE!
Bag: Also got at the Brooklyn Flea vintage Freone Firenze
Vintage Sunnies: Got it at The Vintage Twin Event

I wore this outfit to my friend Stephanies Miss America Fundraising Party. This top is sheer so i wore some biker shorts underneath and a regular bra. I also finally broke out my work of art bag! I am inlove with it. It's so unique but very delicate so I can only wear it during special occasions!

Although I was wearing next to nothing it was still very very hot! We've been hitting the 90's lately. It's definitely hot but I won't complain. I'm actually already starting to shop for Fall and Winter. Although that merchandise isn't out yet in chain stores such as H&M and Zara I get the goods from thrifting. I just stocked up on some Fall Blazers and a great faux fur winter coat!
Look out for my Fall/Winter Thrifting Post!

P.S.
What do you think of the lip color???

walk all over you

Outfit
Wrap Dress: Vintage gifted from my friend Sheena
Necklace: Thrifted at the Brooklyn Flea Market get yours HERE!
Boots: B Makowsky via Marshalls $59.99 fashion STEELE!

I went into Marshalls just to "Window Shop" and ended up spending $100 on boots get a similar pair here or here. I got these bad boys in 2 colors this color and black. They are so rocker with the silver tip toe and I love love love love love them to the 3rd power. They are super comfortable and I love the look and small heel. These boots can definitely walk all over someone...if need be :-)
The color of this dress is awesome and the boots matched perfectly with the purse I got at the BK Flea Market and my new necklace. I have been wearing this necklace non-stop since I got it and I get soooo many compliments on it too.

What do you all think of wearing super bright colors that can potentially blind someone?
