HONOR Fall 2013 Fashion Show

Well fashion week has officially ended on moved on to London Town. My last show that I attended was HONOR. I have been such a huge fan of Honor ever since my fashion idol Tracee Ellis Ross rocked the brand. I covered the Spring 2012 Honor Fashion Show and actually got to snap Tracee and Solange at the show! This show was very unique and I loved the electronic graphics.

Once again there were stripes and lot of black and white in this collection as there were for most of the collections I attended this season. I smell a trend. Expect stripes and monochrome looks to take over the universe not only this Fall but this Spring as well. My favorite look was the striped number as well as the purple, black and lavender dress. Amazingness all around. New York Fashion Week was definitely a blast and I felt like I finally hit my stride covering shows and not being super worn out afterward! But seeing only this fresh fashion made me run out and spend a lot (and by a lot I mean a sh!tload of money on new clothes and shoes). I couldn't help myself I went into shopping overdrive. Good news is...I have a great collection of new pieces so new outfit posts will begin shortly! Hope you enjoyed NYFW with me!

one last day...

NYFW Day 4: Catherine Malandrino & Jeremy Laing

Biggie Sweatshirt: Urban Outfitters | Jacket & Skirt: Zara | Boots: Pelle Moda | Bag: Marc Jacobs

CATHERINE MALANDRINO

I am such a huge fan of Catherine Malandrino! Check out the review of her show last season and my visit to her showroom! I was anxious to see what she had in store this season and it was nothing short of awesomeness. She is the queen of a good leather jacket...or a jacket period! She pays so much attention to details. I loved the quilted look she used on a few of the jackets. One black hooded jacket stole my heart too! But it wasn't all about the jackets...the handbags and shoes were on point as well. Just like last season this collection was my absolute favorite.

JEREMY LAING

Check out the video HERE.
Jeremy Laing was such a cool show. When I say cool I mean cool. You can imagine the girls in these clothes strolling down the streets in Soho just looking effortlessly....cool. The gold bomber jacket was one of my absolute favorites. I could rock that with ripped boyfriend jeans or an A line mini skirt. Let me count the ways I could work that jacket into my wardrobe. I love the flowing fabrics and the pops of yellow too!

NYFW Day 3: Herve Leger & Christian Siriano

Words cannot begin to express how excited and honored I was to be given the chance to cover both of these shows! They definitely didn't disappoint either! Herve Leger blew me away really. You go expecting to see bandage dresses and what you get is something totally new and fresh and that stays on your mind. By that I mean...your shopping mind...like when does this drop so I can run quick and buy it!

HERVE LEGER

I totally dug the furs and the hats. Pure genius. I think I've seen some form of a hat in most of the shows this season. Thus snapbacks and beenies seem to be the next big (or continuing) thing next Fall. Hey I'm down with that...being that it's just another excuse not to do my hair which can be very time consuming! Think of all the extra time I'll have this Fall for shopping. Did you peep that white number above? OMFG is what went through my head when I saw this. It's just...it's just...the work of angels. I think I heard birds chirping and saw a rainbow. After the show I caught a ride with Fashion Indie in the Benefits Cosmetic Pink SUV and was wisked away to Christian Siriano while eating gummy bears and freshening up my makeup.

CHRISTIAN SIRIANO
Check out the video HERE.
Let me tell you something... Mr. Siriano knows his way around a dress! My favorites where the gold pieces. Hey....gold may be making a comeback this Fall. Gold has its moments in time usually reserved for Christmas or your birthday but now gold can be worn even if its just Monday (and we all love Monday right? lol). I also really dug the shoes as well. It was a great show with some very memorable pieces. The show kicked off with a lot of black just like Jill Stuart! Yes...black is the new black. The first outfit above gave me life. I fur pencil skirt??? Yes Please! Textured black sweater??? I'll take 2 ma'am. Python printed pump??? Let's just say if there was a fire...I would most certainly grab these...bronchitis or not!

After the shows, I went home and took a much needed nap before heading over to the Duro Olowu and the Daily Front Row party. It was such a great party too. The drinks were perfect and that's coming from a light weight. The food was flowing and simply scrumptious and it was one of the best networking experiences of my life. The Duro Collection is amazing too! I also got to meet one of my biggest fashion living legend, Iris Apfel at the party. She was so gracious and sweet and loved my necklace. That was truly a moment I will never forget. Check out my Instagram HERE and HERE to get a peek at Duro's Collection that will be released at JC Penny in March.

NYFW Day 3: Jill Stuart & Son Jung Wan

Sweater: Top Shop | Skirt: H&M | Boots: Vera Wang | Bag: Marc Jacobs | Coat: Zara | Belt: Thrifted
For day 3 I had a lot of cool shows! I will cover Jill Stuart and Son Jung Wan in this post. I chose this very whimsical rocker outfit for these two shows. See more photos of this outfit HERE. They are both designers who make very girly pieces but with an edgy twist.

JILL STUART

I honestly really loved the Fall 2013 Jill Stuart Collection. The black laser cut pieces were definitely a favorite as well as the appliqué textured dresses. The first half of the collection was a black out...meaning black is BACK! Yes....I've been waiting for black to make a return. Everything was very figure flattering and gorgeous. The T-Strap pumps really caught my eye as well. By the way...stripes are also back and the bigger the better! Zoe Kravitz was front row at this show and she dug the pink fury coat.

SON JUNG WAN

Son Jung Wan was a great show as always. I really loved the gold dress above! I would dare wear it during the day with a tailered blazer and black heels. PS...Gold is In! Not just on big bulky chains and necklaces but also for clothing. Get on the band wagon! The collection started off very pale and then faded into deep plums and violets as well as reds. It was a very well rounded collection. There is something for everyone in the Son Jung Wan Fall 2013 Collection. I also happened to be seated right across from Brooke Shields so that was pretty cool too lol.
