Neck Envy

It's funny because I never used to wear necklaces. But not that my hair is shorter I opt to wear bold necklaces in the place of earrings. I have had a new found love for statement necklaces over the past six months. The collection just keeps growing and growing. The above necklace I just got a few days ago at Aldo Shoes. When I saw it I almost died. I had to have it. A white necklace has been on my wish list for the longest and at $25 bucks...it was a fashion STEELE and totally worth it!
Check out more of my statement necklaces below.
I get tons of compliments anytime I wear this Modern Tibet necklace I picked up at the Christmas Market at Union Square in December. I think it cost $35..I can't remember.

Picked this necklace up recently during the Thrift and the City shopping tour for $8 fashion STEELE! See it worn HERE!

I swapped this necklace at my Shop and Swap event. It even helped me win best dressed at a fashion show HERE and I won a DKNY watch!

Picked up this lovely Mango necklace at the Mango & Marie Claire Night of Style.
See it worn with my Mango maxi skirt HERE!

I love wearing this with a more sophisticated look. I got this necklace at Housing Works Thrift Shop for $12..fashion STEELE! See it worn HERE!!!!

This is the DIY statment necklace I made with items from Michaels. Love it!

I also got this lovely capsule Diesel Necklace from Housing Works Thrift Shop.

Got this stunning necklace at the store in the W Hotel at Fashion Night at the W Hotel.
This was the most expensive necklace. I think it cost $50 and it was on sale.

I also got this necklace for $5 during the Thrift and the City shopping tour.

This is one of my favorite rocker chic necklaces that I got from Forever 21 a few years ago.

There is something about this black stone that I love. It makes any outfit instantly glam. This was only $1 at Goodwill.

So are you all into statment necklaces and whats your favorite of mine??
It's enough to give a girl neck envy right lol.

Mix and Match

Outfit
Top: H&M
Shorts: Dolce Vita see more of the W Boutique HERE!!!!
Tights: American Apparel
Earrings: Mango, get them HERE for only $12 fashion STEELE!!!
Boots: Thrifted from No Relation Vintage NYC
Cardigan: Nine West Vintage American Jeans
Purse: Thifted from Housing Works see it and more thrifts HERE!!!!!
Belt: Thifted

While at Fashion Night at the W Hotel I went shopping in the ultra chic W Boutique Store (On the 7th Floor), I bought a wonderful necklace and this awesome pair of Dolce Vita shorts. As soon I saw them I knew I could rock them with some tights and black boots and stripes. I saw the outfit flash in my head. The print is was really sucked me in to these gorgeous shorts. They are perfect staple for Late Winter, Spring and Summer!

I've seen a lot of mixing and matching whether it be florals and stripes, color blocking or mixing of patterns. I love stripes with just about anything, but this is my first attempt at mixing and matching. I loved how it turned out. Glad I also got to wear one of my new favorite pair of earrings from Mango.

Mango has awesome jewelry and its really affordable. Who would have thunk it? I didn't even know they had an online store until I had to hunt these earrings down.

So what do you all think of mixing prints and patterns?

Cozy street of Vintage, Thrift and Art: A girls dream

Yesterday I did a ton of thrift shopping. I stopped by 3 great places..all on the same block and right around the corner where I had the delicious Mac-n-Cheese spring rolls the other day. It's 17th St between 6 and 7th Ave in NYC. This little cozy street boast 3 vintage/thrift stores and an awesome museum The Rubin. If you are in the area you should check this street out especially if you love thrifting and vintage! First off, I stopped at Housing Works. Now usually I frequent the one on 23rd St. But the one on 17th Street was equally awesome!

Loved this green parka..only $20 bucks!

This chair is so unique but was a little out of my price range but still its so gorgeous!

So many ways I could color block this blazer! When I saw it I thought of all the color block Gucci ads I've been seeing everywhere including on Katy Perry on the cover of ELLE.

I actually ended up purchasing this bag! It would be perfect for the Spring and Summer.

So far I've visited 3 of the Housing Works Thrift Stores in NYC. Check out the other stores posts HERE and HERE!!!!

Next up, I visited Angel Street Vintage. I've been here a few times before. They have a better furniture collection than clothes and accessories. I do love how they did their window display though.

Lastly I went to Pippin Vintage but it was just too amazing and I have to post all the photos in another post! Stay tuned because if you love vintage hats, rings, necklaces, and the like you will love my post on Pippin! So this was how I spent my Valentine's Day. I thrift shopped till I dropped and also scored some great things at Loehmanns that I will share later.
How funny I saw Bethenny Frankel at Loehmanns with her husband and baby Sunday afternoon. After thrifting I had a great lunch at Cafetasia one of my favorite thai restaurants. My meal was only $9 for pad thai, spring rolls with pinapple sauce and a thai tea! Yummy! After lunch I got a much needed pedicure with an extra foot massage because fashion week stilettos are killing my feet.
So what did you all do for V-day???
