I do love them because they are super comfortable and I got them for a STEELE at less than $40 at DSW last summer.

You can tell how cold it was by the way I hold my fist is some of the photos lol. NYC is killing me right now with all the intensly insane coldness...today we actual broke 40 degrees for the first time in about a week. I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE...Spring...where art thou??? lol. In other news I just learned of the Fashion Bloggers Conference Event in NYC on Feb 10th and I'm soooo psyched to go. Can't wait. That will definitely give me something to look forward to in February other than Fashion Week and more snow..and a manless Valentines..lol.

P.S. I have rediscovered my love for sushi...Citrus in NYC is amaze!

Maxinista

I love maxi dresses. They are so comfortable yet fashionable. Really all you need is a great pair of boots and a coat and your done. I've been wearing more maxis now that its Winter. I like to layer them up with chunky sweaters.

Paired this great ASOS maxi dress with a cable knit vest from Forever 21 and my favorite necklace thrifted from Housing Works Thrift Store.

Got this amazing ring during my trip home to North Carolina for Thanksgiving. See it HERE!!!

I recently won a blog giveaway for The Ellements of Personal Style book by Joe Zee at Elle Magazine from one of my favorite bloggers at Style Defined NYC Fashion Blog. I really love all the great photos and snippets of information especially on my style icon Tracee Ellis Ross. Her home is amazing and so is her style. Its been freezing cold and raining in NYC lately so my next few photo post are indoors.

I found this little glass Eiffel Tower bottle at Marshalls and I love it so much.

Got these earring from Bebe during my Southern Hospitality posting for Black Friday the torquoise ring is from my favorite place for accessories Jewelry Plaza in NYC. This full amor ring I ordered from China on ebay!

The Ellements of Personal Style is a great book. I'm glad a won it! Some of my other favorite books at the moment are: The Book of Night Women by Marlon James and Nefertiti by Michelle Moran. These books are both about the strength women possess.

Gone with the Wind

I'm having a blast being back in my home state of North Carolina. Today was a really windy day. I visited my Grandma who made a Thanksgiving Sunday for me...sweet!

One thing I really miss about North Carolina is the mild winters.

New York Winters can be so brutal!

But I digress...here is todays outfit post!

Got this amazing skirt from the New Forever 21 on 5th Ave in NYC. The store just opened November 19th and its just lovely, all six floors of it! Check it out!
