you can't go wrong with a printed dress

this is one of my favorite dresses...and I don't wear it enough!
I got it a year or so ago from Loehmanns and I wore it to the Pretty Girls Rock Dresses event
at the Tracy Reese boutique. I had such a great time meeting other fashionable ladies there.
anywho...it was time to pull this oldie but a goodie out and take her for a spin.

Shoes: L.A.M.B. Mya check them out HERE  in 2 tone black and grey
 Bag: Mizstique via Marshalls

how i love love love to the fourth power my new shoes. they are sooooo comfortable too. dont tell anyone but I got them at Nordstroms Rack for 1/2 their original price. Fashion STEELE! i love shoes and can honestly say...i will be wearing these at least once a week. the neutral color goes with everything. since i'm still in my "i love anything printed and tribal phase" this dress let me express myself a little. but i still want some authentic Kente shirts. damnit i wish i knew how to sew.
if you are on the hunt for unique printed dresses check out this one, this one and this one.

Pretty Girls Rock Dresses

WARNING
The amount of photos and fashion in this post may leave you astounded, flabbergasted and drenched in your own saliva from the sheer magnitude of it!
Atleast that's how I felt at this kick ass event hosted by Claire Sulmers, Bernie of Cocoachic, Jessica and Andrea of Glamazonsblog, Angela Yee of 105.1, DJ Tyger Lilly.

Pretty girls do indeed rock dresses!
I chose to wear this dress I got from my favorite boyfriend Loehmann's on 101 7th Ave.
Would you believe it was $34!!! Fashion STEELE!!!!!
Thanks to my 10% membership and the 20% they were giving out all willy nilly for absolutely no reason at all I got it for $34 from $49.99.
Ha....I love Loehmanns...ok ok so back to the fashion.
Pretty Girls Rock Dresses was held at the Tracy Reese Boutique in NYC. She has some amazing dresses, shoes and bags...that I coveted!

DJ Tyger Lily was tearing those turnstyles up! She had me ready to A-Town Stomp up in there. She had everybody pretty girl rocking to Keri Hilson..."My name is Keri, I'm so very, fly oh my, it's a little bit scary"..Hahaha. I almost had to take my shoes off so I could dance for real!
Would you believe she rocked the house in these amazing heels! (see next photo)

The drinks were flowing...the music was bumping and it was a whole lot of fine men up in there too.
They all looked very daper of course!

I finally got to meet Claire from Fashion Bomb Daily who featured me recently as
Fashion Bombshell of the Day and is soley responsible for that huge spike you see in my pageviews graph lol. She is really sweet and beautiful and I love her blog. She is a real blogging business woman and I aspire to be like her one day! Oh and her Tracy Resse dress is furocious.

A lot of the fashionista's from the NYC Fashion Bloggers Meetup Group were there as well! Yay!

Syreeta, Myself and Candy were chosen to be in the best "Dress" competition.
Claire handpicked me and it felt great to be applauded for my affordable yet fashionable dress choice!

This is the stylish and fun fashionista who won the competition for best "Dress" and a $200 gift certificate to Tracy Reese. I actually ran after her to get this photo before the competition even started!
I love her style and those shhhhooooooooooooeeeeeeeeeesssss OMG!!!!
She deserved to win.
Now on to the fashion overload of "Store Style" (because they weren't really in the street) Pics!

Great Style Good Hair!

Hey there is Pam from the NYC Fashion Bloggers Meetup Group...looking fly!

Amazing...everything A+ Of course with fashion like this she is a professional stylist.

Yall know how I feel about white vintage lace dresses!

Stunning wearing all Tracy Reese!

Love the uniqueness.

I had such an amazing time. Loved meeting some of the new girls from the meetup group as well as Claire. It was super exciting to be in the best "Dress" competition as well. I even saw a few TV personalities there such as Sway from MTV and few of the cast from the Harlem Heights TV Show. I have tons of cool things coming up and can't wait to post about them!
