my love with black and white continues

I love wearing black and white.... see this post, this post, this post and this post. this stripe jacket from Zara has definitely catapulted me into wearing more black and white. This skirt is one of my new favorites from Topshop. I love the length and that's it doesn't lose its tightness. It's also quite comfortable. I've worn it at least 3 times since I got it.

finally wore my shoemint beauties. these were a substitute for the Alexander Wang Bianca's that I really really wanted...found on ebay...bid on and then lost. im still lamenting the loss of them. yall know how much I loves me some alexander wang... (and if not see this post, this post, this post and this post). Good news though...there is to be an Alexander Wang sample sale in NYC some time in the next 2 weeks and I am saving saving saving because im gonna go ham at that sample sale.

who wears short shorts?

Winter...the perfect season for suede shorts. lol. I picked these up during a trip to the summer sale a Top Shop a while back during this post.

These shorts are super comfortable and I love the rich color. I am a firm believer in shorts during any..and I mean any season. As long as its not too cold and you are properly layered!

I think these are the most worn booties in my closet. They are also suede and go with virtually everything in my closet. See these shorts worn a little differently in this post. Excuse me if you see me in every other post with sheer or opaque hosiery on. I do like a great pair of jeans and a good pair of slacks but truth be told..I like my legs to feel free! lol. I am on the hunt for a great pair of neon jeans at the moment though. Any suggestions?

Yesterday was super busy for me but the awesome part of my day is that I got to shop! I headed down to Union Square Market then popped into Sephora to buy some new lipsticks.

 I then attended a party for my friend Stephanie who is running for Miss America!



I picked up 2 new lipsticks, 2 eye pencils and some new makeup. Being in the hot summer sun I've acquired a deeper shade of brown and needed a new makeup to accomodate my lovely sun kissed skin.

This is one of my favorite books stores and I've seen more celebrities in this bookstore than anywhere else in the city. I saw a huge model and a huge designer there in the same day and time.

This burger place on Broadway "The Burger House" was giving out free samples of burger. OMG I came back here after shopping and had the best cheeseburger I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I mean it was so freaking delicious I went and talked to the owner...lol. They've only been open for 3 weeks but the food is AMAZING! Just what I needed after a day of shopping.

When I shop I usually have a certain path I take. I go to Union Square and then walk down Broadway stopping at various stores such as Zara, H&M and TOPSHOP. This is a view down Broadway.

 Walked right into a street fair! I love New York!

Ofcourse I had to check out TopShops sale

Just Another Manic Monday

I must say I had the most awesometastic day yesterday. For starters I got to work on a special project with one of my favorite style bloggers (keep a lookout for a post later in the week). I then attended

 The Vintage Twin 3rd Annual Trunk Show

with a few members of the NYC Fashion Bloggers Meetup Group.

Of course I didn't leave empty handed. This event was started by twins Morgan and Samantha Elias in 2009. Since then they have been having awesome trunk shows to sell vintage and remodeled designs for a cause. 10% of the proceeds went to Project Kids Charity.
I got 3 fantasic pieces and can't wait for the next show!

This girl managed to get the coat I really really wanted...but I did get a lovely lace jacket...pics to come soon.

After this event we headed over to the Manhattan Bloggers Meetup at Idle Hands Bar on the Lower East Side.
Along the way we snapped some street photos.

So I got to bust out my favorite top again that I got during my Birthday Shopping Extravaganza. These Top Shop wedges are definitely the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. See them worn differently HERE and HERE.
Overall today was just an awesome day. I'm especially excited about my buys.
Can't wait to show you all.
I love Monday's because usually I am off on Monday's. It's my day to relax, shop and catch up on my blog. Therefore Monday is actually my favorite day of the week!
