jacquard skirt with a twist

Peplums here...peplums there...peplums are everywhere. This is the closest I will get to a peplum with this trumpet hem skirt. When I saw this amazing jacquard skirt on ASOS and knew it would be a staple in my wardrobe. It's diverse and can be worn throughout the seasons. What I love most is the shape and the volume. It's dramatic yet refined...if those two things can even coexist. It also has two trends in one, trumpet hem and floral print.

Usually I hate winters in New York but this one is hardly a winter at all. One day its warm and the next its freezing. I'm not complaining though because I still refuse to wear tights on most occasions. I just like the look of my bare legs rather than thick black tights but I wear them only when I know I will die a frozen death if I don't. ASOS is quickly becoming my go to place to shop...and I've finally gotten confident enough to order bottoms online. Usually I only buy shoes and dresses online because I'm pretty sure of the fit. ASOS just has too many great things. I've already ordered 3x from them last month alone. Currently I'm coveting these satin tux pants, this metallic leather skirt, and this color block leather jacket.

where do you do most of your online shopping?

NEW IN: Sigerson Morrison Red Snakes

i first spotted these boots earlier this year at Loehmanns. my eye was immediately drawn to them because of the color, the print and the shape of the shoe. not to mention the awesome zippers. back then they were way out of my price range for a shoe of this sort. but just the other day...there they were again yet this time they were 30% off and it was also take an additional 30% off at Loehmanns day. Not to mention my 10% discount. So I got them for damn near 70% off. I cannot express the ways I love Loehmanns and their amazing sales.

Fresh

so a while back i entered a contest at Joe Fresh showing how I was wearing one of their pieces. you can check that post out here where I wore my favorite belt from Joe Fresh. anywho i didn't win the top prize but i did win a gift card to Joe Fresh. I got three items...this black dress and this outfit (sweater & skirt).

im really into the green and yellow in this skirt. its what i liked the most about it and the pleats of course which gives this skirt great movement. this past year i've bought so many booties like these that I almost forgot about my beloved suede L.A.M.B. booties until i unpacked all my Fall/Winter shoes from resting comfortably in their boxes. Yes...I collect shoe boxes lol. But I digress....Joe Fresh is great for basics and everything in the store is color coded. It's also wallet friendly! Geesh speaking of wallet friendly....i must get my Christmas shopping done before December O_o

my first missoni

i'd been eyeing this Missoni skirt at Loehmanns for the longest time but really couldn't justify blowing $200 for a skirt. i am still a frugalista at heart. but as if the Missoni God's knew what I was thinking everything Missoni at Loehmanns was a cool 35% off with an additional $25 dollars off. thank goodness for coupons and memberships. I walked away with this skirt for less than $90.
Jacket/Top: Rachel Roy | Skirt: Missoni | Booties: Via Spiga | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff

this jacket was also a fashion STEELE! Daffy's was having this amazing going out of business sale and i scored this Rachel Roy jacket for $19. Yes...$19!!!!! i could hardly believe it myself. i love the assymetrical cut of the jacket too! i wish the Fall would last a little longer so i can get some more wear out of this skirt before the Winter. i don think it will look as good with opaque tights. ugh...gotta get ready to pack my gams away for the winter.

Fall Favorites: booties

booties are the perfect shoe for Fall. i like that they show a little bit of ankle yet are still durable for cooler weather and keeping your feet warm.
i recently picked up two great pair from Zara and a pair of Via Spiga's from last year.
i will be rocking these until the snow hits.

every girl needs a black pair of booties. these from Zara are so fun. the shape is very flattering for those with big feet like me. i also love the double zippers and gold hardware. the red booties have become my absolute favorite. everywhere i go i get compliments on them and i think its the boldness and pop of the true red color that draws the eye. these via spiga's were bought last year from Nordstroms Rack and the toe tip and color is what sold me on these. they are also cut on a bias and fall below the ankle bone with is kinda hot. when you can't show too much skin because of cooler weather...guys will go crazy for an ankle lol.

what is your go to Fall shoe?
