scored this Jessica McClintock gold clutch at Century 21 for $24.
its so dainty it can barely fit my cell, a lipstick and my keys. surely it will be used for many a night out in the city when that's exactly all I will need.

Fall Trends Obsessions

i have two new obsessions....cargo jackets/vests and ox blood colored anything.
i admit i am very persuaded by the Fall trends. i can't help myself. after flipping through September and October issues of Elle, Marie Claire, Lucky and Glamour, all i crave is deep burgundys and reds in my wardrobe. i foresee that my Fall and Winter will be full of blacks, greys and reds with pops of mint, forest green and whites. i snatched up this awesome French Connection Jacket from Loehmanns. When I saw it i knew immediately that it can be paired with skinny jeans, pencils skirts and just about anything else I have. its best to invest in pieces that can be worn with anything and that you know you will wear on a regular basis.

im so sad that summer is over but i finally get to wear all my favorite boots and jackets which makes me happy. this is another spin on my Fall Uniform which consist of a jacket and skirt like this post from last week. its also a similar color concept. i really have to force myself not to buy any more burgundy and red pieces. lol.
ps...im seriously considering cutting my hair again...like this or this.
UPDATE: i actually bought these fabiana's thanks to a reader alerting me to the sale at TheOutnet.com.
YAY!

what gets you to move in on a trend?

gold and black

a few weeks ago i thrifted this top from Salvation Army.
it came in a two piece set with top and skirt so i decided to break it up so that it fit better into my wardrobe. i paired the sky blue top with one of my new favorite skirts from American Apparel.
this skirt is from the new Afrika line and I am digging it!
i love the contrast between the top and the skirt as well.

Top: Thrifted from Salvation Army |   Skirt: American Apparel Afrika Line
Shoes: Zara Basic Sandal | Gold Clutch: Zara | Sunnies: Spitfire

the print on this skirt is sick and i love that it's on gold lame as well which subsequently goes perfectly with my new Zara Gold Lame clutch. I picked this baby up while in Barcelona for about $30! I will be pairing it with tons of evening wear...like this green sequin dress.
if you want to know the number one showstoppers to get you noticed...
unique shoes and weird sunglasses.
the combination is golden.
