forever young

about 3 years ago i would hit up Forever 21 for just about everything.
they are always trendy.
I even worked there while in graduate school. Needless to say their "BlackOut"
policy of not taking days off during the holiday season forced me to quit.
I have kind of outgrown Forever 21 but every now and again I pop in for some basics
such as this shirt I wear religiously or these awesome little brogues.
This bright maxi really caught my eye so I guess even at 27...I can still be Forever Young!

Jacket: Dallin Chase | Hat: Top Shop | Boots: Dolce Vita |
Dress: Forever 21
Sure its hella bright but neons are in and spring in just around the corner!
Check out my favorite vintage neon dress. Also I am planning a trip to Barcelona and looking for
shopping and places to eat tips. If you know of any cool places drop me a comment!

Guns and Stars

i've always wanted to be the kind of girl who could rock short as all hell shorts and biker
boots and look effortlessly cool and slightly mysterious.
Well thanks to Melissa at Created by Fortune
my dreams have come true. I have the most badass studded shorts of all time.
Song: Bang Bang by Nancy Sinatra
here's a quick outfit video to get a 3-D sense of these amazing shorts.
*****************************************************************

Shorts: c/o Created by Fortune | T-Shirt, Socks &Hosiery: American Apparel
Boots: Dolce Vita via Loehmanns | Jacket: Dallin Chase via Loehmanns | Sunnies: Ray Ban

The studding on these shorts is nothing less than superb and I know what it takes to stud something. Remember that DIY Blogger Meetup I attended last year and my fingers almost bleed studding some jeans. It really takes time and dedication.
love the little gun too.
bang bang.

the leopard in the park

leopard is starting to fade out of the fashion scene as neons are rushing in.
 you know what that means...
time to pull the leopard prints back out!
this top is one that i picked up from Zara and wore religiously with everything i could find last year.
im sure it will find its way into many an outfit this year as well.
like this one during last New York Fashion Week and now as i took a stroll through my local park.

Outfit
Top: Zara see it worn differently here
Pants: Kill City via Loehmanns
Shoes: Forever 21 see them upclose here along with the rest of my Forever 21 shoe collection
Leather Jacket: Dallin Chase via Loehmanns
Beenie: Forever 21
Lipstick: MAC red
Sunnies: Ray Ban

i think the leopard with the purple colored jeans goes well. now that spring is around the corner the darker colored jeans are rolling out and the bright neons, greens and orange jeans are "in".
i swear i've seen every bright colored jean in every major chain store in the past week! lol.
If you are on the hunt for NEON JEANS check out these, these and these!
Check out my YouTUBE video of this outfit!

The One that Got Away...then got got!

So right before I left New York for North Carolina for Christmas I was shopping in Urban Outfitters.
They were having this INSANE 50% off of already marked down clothes sale.
I came across this lovely yellow dress, got to the line and just didn't feel like waiting.
The line had like a million gazillion people in it and I already had to pee.
So I put it down, left, found a bathroom, got a manicure, ate a burger and went back for it.
ONLY...it had vanished! Devasted I combed through piles and piles of sale items when I noticed a girl coming out of the dressing room with my dress!!! She put it back...I grabbed it..and this time stood patiently in line.

Outfit
Dress: Urban Outfitters get a similar dress here or here
Hosiery: American Apparel
Leather Jacket: Dallin Chase via Loehmanns

This dress was a definite fashion STEELE at $14!!!! I hope some of you made it to that Urban Outfitters Sale because is was pretty freaking awesome. I wanted a dress like this ever since making this post about what to wear for the holidays. So when you see something and you really want it..get it then or else you will live in regret! lol.

a modern twist

I got this amazing jacquard belle skirt about 6 years ago at a vintage shop in Chapel Hill North Carolina, Time After Time Vintage Thrift. It instantly reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw my fashion icon. I've actually only worn it once to a semi formal ball. It's perfect for all these holiday parties coming up too.

Outfit
Skirt: Vintage
Top: Forever 21
Shoes: L.A.M.B. via Loehmanns see them worn differently HERE and HERE
Bag: BCBGeneration via Filenes Basement
Jacket: Dallin Chaise via Loehmanns
Watch: BCBG via Loehmanns
This skirt was less than $20 a fashion steele indeed but it looks so lush! It's also really heavy so it can be worn for those special occasions in the winter as well. The skirt to me is so over the top so I decided to give it a modern twist with a plain tee shirt and a leather jacket. See more of my favorite vintage skirts here and here.
