all thrifted outfit part I

so last weekend I enjoyed 2 full days of thrifting with a haul at Salvation Army in Harlem and a haul at Beacon's Closet in downtown Manhattan.  I scored some pretty awesome pieces for such fashion STEELE's. I decided to do an all thrifted outfit post mixing pieces from each thrift adventure. well not everything is thrifted but the clothing is...hey a girls gotta accessorize right?!

Top: thrifted from Beacon's Closet | Skirt: thrifted from Salvation Army
Shoes: L.A.M.B. Morisa | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C. | Necklace: Modern Tibet

thrifting can be hella rewarding and fun! i love it when I find great pieces. i was drawn to this skirt because of the pleats and the color. i have a similar vintage skirt here. anywho this skirt came with this top that a rocked in last weeks post with an American Apparel skirt.

Target Tuesdays

Outfit
Jacket: (Can't make out the brand name) Target
Romper: Xhiliration via Target
Cross Body Bag: Vintage Coach
Wedges: Messica Coraline saw them in Shoegasm in NYC as well same price.
Necklace: Modern Tibet got it HERE!!!

So I got most of this outfit from Target...would you believe that!
Target is freaking awesome. I fell in love with this suede jacket the moment I saw it. It's lightweight so perfect for those chilly Spring and Summer nights. Suede in the Spring??? I think so! Especially with this crazy weather NYC has literally been showering us with. But I won't complain because people in the South got it bad. I had to call and make sure my family was ok after all those tornado's.
I finally got to break out these wedges. I think it's the perfect time to wear them. They still cover a majority of my foot so even if its not 65 degrees outside my foot stays pretty warm.
Feels more like I'm wearing booties.
It's FINALLY Spring so I'm dressing for Spring! The weather in NYC was amazing today!

Has anyone else seen the awesome stuff at Target ??? Like those Dolce Vita Wedges???

My Personal Style: Spring Lookbook Pt III

I'm loving crisp whites with detailing for Spring. In the last post I had a great white rose applique top from American Apparel. I also featured turquoise, tribal print, ivory and natural wood accesories. From accessories to clothing this will be a major staple in my Spring wardrobe. Here is another look from my personal Spring Style Lookbook.

The detailing on the blouse is amazing!
I would pair this top with some great cut off shorts and wedges for a great Spring/Summer look.

Torquoise will be one of my main color staples for Spring. Its a refreshing color yet and earth tone. Turquoise necklaces, and earrings are shown above. I wouldn't ever pair alike necklaces and earrings but wanted to show them individually. Got the necklace from Forever 21 last week for just $8!!!! Fashion STEELE!!!

I also wanted to feature this awesome necklace I got from Modern Tibet, all handmade jewelry. See more of this necklace here!!!!!!

What do you all think of my Spring 2011 trends so far????Am I on the right track???? What accessory trends do you think will be in the spotlight this Spring?

Women Wear the Pants

I'm not really a pants wearing kinda girl. I barely wear jeans but I came across an amazing collection of tailored pants from American Apparel and fell in love with the fit. I have long legs and these pants are the perfect length. I'm also really into bustiers as shirts now. I think I got that trend from Rihanna. ASOS has tons of these cute little tops as well, that I will order when my budget allows (sticking to those NY's Resolutions lol).

Outfit
Pants: American Apparel
Bustier Top: H&M
Necklace: Modern Tibet
Cardigan: Nine West vis Marshalls
Shoes: BCBG
Ring: AF Jewelry Collection Inc NYC

I really love H&M. They have great clothes, they are always on trend and they are affordable. I also like that their clothes are pretty good quality. I've been picking up a lot of great pieces from H&M and I cant wait to share them. Whats your favorite store? At the moment mine is definitely H&M!

An NYC Christmas

I've been craving statement jewelry for the past few months. Huge necklaces, large cocktail rings, bracelets that can double as weapons...lol. I was out at Union Square Holiday Shops Monday and bought a lovely necklace.

Got this necklace at a store in the shops called Modern Tibet. They have lovely jewelry that is pretty yet not costly. I fell in love with the necklace. Check them out at www.ModernTibet.com.
They also have a store in NYC at 103 Sullivan Street bet Prince and Spring

Here is a photo of the Union Square Holiday Shops. There are tons of unique Jewelry, clothing and little holiday knick knack stores. I had a great time looking around. Another great jewelry find is Kaisa & Paternoster Designs of handcrafted Watches and Jewelry in which they melt different metals together to make awesome cocktail rings and watches. Visit them here Kaisa & Paternoster Designs based out of Brooklyn NYC.

I also made my way over to Macys to see all the decorations and the Christmas display

To learn more about the Union Square Holiday Shops check HERE!!!!
The shops will be open in Union Square until Decemeber 24th 2010.
Check out another post of Union Square Street Fashion here Farmers Market Fashion.
Union Square is definitely one of my favorite places to shop in the city!
Check out other statement jewelry I'm craving here!!!!

What do you guys think of the necklace? My friend who I was with said it is beautiful but she'd be too self conscious to wear it? How do you feel about bulky jewelry???
