im hardly ever in jeans

its true...i dont wear jeans that much. i used to live in my skinny Sergio Valente's in undergrad.

the darkest of denim was my favorite but now i just find skinny jeans confining.

i have a small waist and a bigger butt and thighs. Most jeans that are my actual waist size I can barely get past my thigh. So I always end up in the "stretch jeans department".

with boyfriend jeans..my legs can breath. yeah they arent as sexy as skinnys but with the right shoe...

they are just as appealing without losing circulation to my lower region.

This is one of my favorite vintage skirts. It's a white pleated linen. It's actually one of the first thrifted pieces I bought when I first moved to NYC. From this tiny little thrift shop on Lexington in Gramercy. I've been wearing a lot of white and black lately. I guess its my new uniform.

Here's my favorite top again in ways to wear in part II. These Sam Edelman wedges are ultra comfortable. They were a gift from my mother for my birthday. Check out my other birthday splurges HERE! I got these wedges at Nordstroms. The design of the heel is what caught my eye. The heel of the shoe is very detailed and I love the extra height of the back portion of the wedge. I love this skirt so much that I got it in this off white color, black and orange. The cut of it is just so unique and flattering.

I have totally turned into a platform/wedge woman. The last 5 pairs of shoes I've gotten are all either platforms or wedges. The awesome thing about wedges are how freaking comfortable they are. I'm the kind of girl who wears heels to go shopping so in a city with concrete streets like New York you need great sturdy shoes. Wedges and platforms certainly take the edge off.

I'm also the type of girl that loves shopping alone. I hate having to wait for my friends..lol. I usually have a set vision when I go shopping. I also really like showing others where to find awesome deals which is why I started the Thrift and the City shopping tour. Check it out if you are in the NYC area.

This past Sunday was my 27th Birthday and it was AWESOME!

I spent it with friends at one of my guilty pleasure restaurants Benihana.

I wore this Cynthia Steffe dress that I fought with another customer over on Bluefly.com

They had the last dress in my size in their cart but thank goodness they didn't buy it and I scooped it up..at

1 a.m.

Haha I was not kidding I really wanted this dress!

What have you gone through to get something you really wanted? 

I went to 15 Duane Reades in 4 days looking for Essie Smokin Hot Nail Polish and have yet to find it!
