Vintage Salvatore Ferragamo

 photo IMG_4983683x1024_zpsf05165e4.jpg
on one of my Thrift and the City Shopping Tours earlier this year I came across this amazing silk printed wrap skirt. I instantly fell in love with the colors. To my surprise when I looked at the label it was Salvatore Ferragamo...for a whooping $12. I didn't think...i automatically walked to the register and the rest was history. I love when I find gems like this skirt during thrifting. Some of my better thrifted items are this vintage coach bag, this Marc Jacobs Dress and this See by Chloe Romper.

its so brutally hot outside I dont know what to do with myself. I hope you are all faring well in this soul sucking weather. Tonight I'm headed to Lucky Brand Denim's Offices to find the perfect fit of jeans. Super excited about it since I always have trouble finding brands/jeans that fit well...remember I posted about the best denim? Anywho, I have another one on one thrift tour this weekend and although I will try my best not to buy anything I know I will.

thrift haul: Salvation Army

this past weekend i decided to make a day of it and do some thrifting at one of my favorite Salvation Army's in Harlem. I was on a mission. I was only going to buy tops being that i have very few in my wardrobe. that's the problem with my wardrobe. I have a million shoes, skirts and dresses but not enough tops. it's very easy to incorporate tops into your wardrobe making it one of the easiest things to thrift. I went for bold primary colors. I also found a great skirt and top set that I plan to break up and use with different pieces.

Skirt and Top Set: $12.99
Red Silk Top: $2.99
Yellow Silk Top: $2.99
Total: $19.32
yes im pretty ecstatic and glad i got some more tops to mix and match into my wardrobe. see how i worked in the blue top here and the blue skirt here. In an upcoming post I will show you how I incorporate these pieces into my wardrobe. Along with these thrifted items from my Beacon's Closet Thrift Hall.

Club members get 10% off every purchase for $25 a year.
It's TOTALLY effing WORTH IT!
Chelsea location is better for SHOES and has a slightly better collection of designers.
72nd Location has better PURSES and Swimwear.

Century 21
22 Cordlandt St
Skip the new one uptown...downtown is sooooo much better
SHOES SHOES SHOES
serious designers too
PURSES PURSES PURSES
The trick is to get there HELLA EARLY preferably on a weekday (Monday is best)
I mean be there before the doors open.

Then leave with a sh*tload of stuff.

I did pick up a great pair of Nine West sandals from Century 21 for just $70!

Vintage and Vivienne

Outfit
Skirt: My favorite vintage skirt...see it worn differently
Top: Forever 21
Shoes: Nine West
Bag: Vintage
Cropped Jacket: Vivienne Tam via Loehmann's
Earrings: Forever 21

So glad I got to break out my favorite vintage skirt again! I love this skirt and plan to wear it all Spring long. I paired it with my favorite top from Forever 21. This has to be the most worn shirt in my wardrobe and only cost me $22 fashion STEELE!!! See it worn differently HERE at IFB Conference and
HERE in my fashion week outfits.
I also got to wear my new vintage faux fur bag that I got during the first Thrift and the City shopping tour I hosted. I topped the outfit off with one of my new purchases this white faux leather Vivienne Tam jacket from Loehmann's. Loehmann's is so on point with their inventory this season. I saw this jacket a few weeks back but finally got it after I got a 20% coupon...came up to about $36 fashion STEELE!

What item in your closet do you wear the most??
Mine is definitely this yellow top!
